That's looking bleak right now too. Apparently some of youtubes biggest customers got pissed off at YouTube for putting their ads on firearm videos. So youtubes knee jerk reaction was to implement some sort of filtration that deems literally any video with a title or description with the word gun, ammo, firearm, etc as non family friendly as far as advertising goes and the big gun guys are taking pretty massive hits as far as cash flow from their channels.
Many of them are saying their channels on YouTube will probably be done indefinitely and they will be forced to move to places like full30, etc. Even most of the big names don't get nearly as much free stuff as you'd think. Most of them depend on the YouTube money to fund the channel as far as being able to buy all the guns and accessories they review.

Buddy of mine works for a company that handles chevron's marketing and some other big companies. P much att Verizon, Chevron, and a bunch of other companies pulled advertisments based on an article written by the wall Street journal (PewDiePie was the subject of said article). That was about 3 weeks ago soon after that the gun thing happened.
