How often do porn stars rent a room to shoot a scene? Also, do yall clean the room extra thorough when they r done?

Sneaking into one of our suites
Ordering an expensive bottle of champagne but DON'T OPEN IT
Posing in front of some other guy's Rolls Phantom in the front drive lmao

If you get caught fooling around with a guest they'd fire you. I hooked up with a few coworkers - including a guest room in an old property in the days before I had my own office.

The first place I worked brought Brazilians in as temp help for the busy season, and two of them were living in the apartment next to mine. Before I worked there I was going next door and hooking up with them both/together, then ended up getting a job at the hotel they worked at LMAO.

What cities are considered the hotel industry's holy grail?

As in, what cities are considered the best ones to work at if there are any? I'd guess Miami is probably at the top?

Vegas is obviously a big one. NY, Chicago, Miami all have some seriously high end properties. Not too sure about outside of the states.

More than cities is brands - if you get in with a company like the Ritz or Four Seasons it has a real prestige to it.

Never worked at an airport hotel but they are hookup heaven.

Resort hotels is more of the "I'm paying $x a night, what do you mean you don't serve duck? Have the chef order me one!" type of cockknockery

Well since it's a 5 star hotel the restaurant is pretty top end - we have a lot of "career" servers in their 30's, 40's. I did their payroll when I ran the restaurant, some of them were walking out with $200-300 a night. But still coming in on their day off to pick up their biweekly ~$150 paycheck lmao. In one hand and out the other with servers, man.

Storytime:

We had a wedding group where the groom bailed at the last minute - like, never showed up to the hotel, PERIOD. Full on NC, Tom Cruise is Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, dipped. So of course all of these people have traveled from all over the country to attend this wedding that is now not happening, and the family is not getting their deposit back for the banquet.

So instead of a wedding they turn it into a MASSIVE boozefest, with the bride and her bridesmaids stumbling drunk on the dance floor to girl-power anthems, screaming "you don't need him Tina you were too good for him" nonsense until 2 am. Bride made into onto the overnight security report when security found her pissing in the bushes, popping a squat in her wedding dress.

Is housekeeping employed by the hotels or by a 3rd party cleaning service?

At work the 3rd party janitors we use do not have to speak English but their supervisor who deals with us has to, almost all housekeeping encounters I have the employee doesn't know a single word of English. Even the simplest, "Come back at 1pm, I'll be out by then" garners a blank look until a 2nd employee repeats what I said in another language.

Not at this place, but I've worked at one that was outsourced. Didn't do housekeeper there but can confirm language was a HUGE issue. In Florida we have a lot of Haitians along with Latinos, and finding management staff who speak Creole is tough.

My current job has a sister property that's a union shop, might be even worse.

From a basic lead in room rate? Doubt it unless the place is empty. If you think of the different categories of room from cheapest to ballinest they would probably bump you a category or two, but not 5 or 6 lol

1. Yes, but I'm upper management so I'm kind of "above the law" on that stuff. Best part is I go to our restaurant most afternoons and grab a hnnng espresso - I don't smoke etc so that's my quick ritual to break up the afternoon.
2. Yes, actually. We had a celeb in house that rented out an entire floor (only 6 rooms) so people would not see them in the halls. A woman staying on property caught wind of it and wanted to pump me for information, if you catch my meaning.

Thanks but no thanks'd her, and was waiting for the elevator 30 seconds later when her husband passed me and went in the room.

I actually wonder about that one. She had to know he was RIGHT nearby - was she TRYING to get caught to make him jealous?
