You'll need ~12.5 mils (43 moa) to get to 1,000

What would you suggest?

Disclaimer, I didn't love my PST either, but it was better than most other scopes in it's price range.

if it was me, for the money id get a sightron siii since i think mine is bad ass. a PST is nice that it comes loaded with features. the glass in my sightron is superior to the PST and its not even close. id get a damn burris before vortex. now vortex or bushnell, idk. vortex and bushnell makes the cheapest hunting equipment

I wouldn't confuse a companies low end products with their high end stuff. I would run a Bushnell DMR or that one Ike posted without any issues. I may be selling my Nightforce to get another DMR Bushnell.

Next month is an all qualifier match. I'm pumped
Hell yeah man it's addicting, glad to hear you had fun! Yeah you'll get to the point where you'll have the stage memorized then you just run through it pretty much just subconsciously reacting; almost like you're not thinking about it. That being said, in Production, if you get 1 or 2 misses more than you planned, that might throw off your entire plan lol

What kind of money? This is what I was asking you. My buddy's S&B is certainly nicer than my Nightforce, but it was $6.5k. Sure didn't help him place above me in the PRS match we did. My whole setup was only $2.5k vs his setup at $13K.

The cost gets you better glass, tracking, etc. to a certain extent, but what would beat a Razor Genll in its price range? What is just miles better in your opinion for the same $$$?

im sure the $2k scope is great, but you could get a 1000 zeiss that probably has close to as good of glass and tracks just as good.

i heard that chevrolets made in mexico run better than the ones made in detroit. you know why?

This is like making a decision about buying a Ford Truck based on experiences with the Ford Focus. Vortex farms their work out to manufacturers in different countries to get the level of quality that they need for their given pricepoint. Daimler Chrysler owns Mercedes Benz and Chrysler (among other companies) with a similar business model. Vortex is not going to pay for the level of quality that goes into their $3000 offerings to go into a $100 scope.
