To the guy you quoted, I used to be able to name more boxers and used to watch it a decent amount but it's been years and can't remember. Most boxers I watched weren't heavy weight. Stop acting so pretentious. You come across like a D bag trying to flex your knowledge, at least in the way you are. Sure, there may be some others who were greater than Tyson but instead of calling out others (like you did me) just post in the thread with your input nicely and enjoy the thread, people will actually listen to you that way.

If Tyson nail you in the right spot on your body it's over.
Same time Big Show is huge and an adept wrestler so it's practically impossible to avoid him getting caught in his reach.
If you ask me, mind you I'm a boxing fan, Big Show would wreck him and most boxers cause
Yes you can hit him while he comes in but that's still 400 Lbs. moving at you quicker than 400 Lbs should move with a giant wingspann.

It would be cool to see the biggest most deadly hand to hand combat warrior of basically all humans, even though we can't know that for sure.

Tyson fan, but prime Foreman would have killed him, srs. Foreman never even looked like he was even trying. Half of his fights he would hit the other guy with a seemingly average shot and then just stand back and watch them fall. Wish there was a highlight vid of his body shot knockouts. Even guys using today's modern gear can't obtain foreman primes physique, no homo.

Tyson was a perfect storm of boxing fury
but his life was also a perfect storm of fkery that led to his downfall.
1. pimp father he never knew. prostitue mother. mother died when he was like 14.
2. cus d'amato dying shortly before he became champion. definitly damaged him mentally.
3. jim jacobs dying shortly after he became champion. both father figures dead.
4. married a woman who turned out to be a manipulator and gold digger.
5. only 22 years old further manipulated by don king who convinced Tyson to fire his whole team. now every person who actually cared about mikes well being is gone. surrounded by people who dont care and just want money.
6. false rape charge, 4 years in prison which could have been his really prime years.
7. he came into boxing too soon. there was not any real amazing fighters in the 80's. he came into boxing like 4 years to soon. he never fought any greats of the 90's while he was in his prime.
Tyson after prison didn't really care anymore, boxing was just for show and money. he never trained properly but could still dominate most just based off his raw talent from the previous years of training.
Mike Tyson probably had it harder than anybody else in proffesional sports. the amount of pressure and spotlight put on him at a young age with the amount of fkery going on from his personal life. anybody in mike tysons shoes would have self destructed lol

Prime Tyson couldn't even knock out a mid-30s prison guard who didn't become a professional boxer until age 28.

Now how would he have done against a prime Ali or Foreman? Let's put things into perspective here.

I LOL hard as fuk everytime I see someone regard ANY boxer as the "best" in the world unless it's boxing.
Bruh any world class boxer would get ****ing DESTROYED against any world class muay thai practicioner. It wouldn't even be close.
Boxing in itself is a inefficient martial art due to not use your body to its full potential.
Why the **** would you punch with all your strength when you could elbow someone with half the strength and potentially kill him lmao.
Why the **** would you punch with all your strength when you can kick someone with half the strength & with longer reach and be way more likely to knock the **** out.
Why the **** would you punch with all your strength when you can knee someones face and destroy his head structure.
Seriously, there's a reason why all of these moves are banned from UFC

Else Ronaldo would be by far the best player of all time and not even Messi would come close considering he broke almost every single record in Man Utd, Champions League, Real Madrid, La Liga, Barclays League, Portuguese National team while Messi only broke records in the Champions League, Barcelona, La Liga and Argentina's National Team.
Yet they're both somewhat even in terms of skill despite Ronaldo having far more records

He was physically gifted and had a lot smart science for his style, but he fell apart once the competition got too rough. Great boxer, legend, and heavyweight. But not the best boxer overall, nor the best heavyweight, nor best of his era.

After reconsidering i think the toughest fighter to ever live might be Cro Cop who was known for kickboxing, so you might be on to something. I was never really a Fedor fan.

They stick to punches because:
1- They lack any real fighting experience.
2- They lack any kind of proper understand of human physiology.
3- They never practiced any martial art (maybe boxing since most people do tend to punch only)
4- They don't know how strong elbows & knees are or they simply don't know how to get themselves in a good position to use them.
5- They don't have the flexibility needed for high kicks.
Punches are generally the "go-to" strategy since it's the safest for unexperienced people since everyone has good control over their arms & decent reach.
Even people with boxing-only backgrounds have started to learn how to kick in UFC.
Boxing is efficient no doubt, especially against unexperienced people, fighting a boxer with punches only makes it pretty easy for the boxer to just toy with people, however, it's by no means the most efficient or "the best" way to fight, muay thai & some others are considered the best standup fighting martial arts.
But then again, muay thai and those martial arts are all banned from official competitions.
Probably Boxing, kick boxing & stuff of the sort are probably top tier for official competitions, although ground martial arts have been on the rise lately
