Donate the chit I'd usually just throw away to places like Salvation Army and Good Will.
Give no money to beggars, let them go through the proper channels to receive assistance.

Majority of homeless people are homeless because they have mental health issues and are unstable. Drug use in teen and early adult life often sets off those individuals predisposed to mental health issues. Sad thing is the majority of people without these issues think the solution is give them life lessons and that will magically fix everything or to assume they are lazy ****s. The wrong dialogue is happening. It's really just a sad state of affairs.

and this little homeless dude asks us for a couple of pounds, we ask him what for, he says it's for something to do with phone credit or some chit

we said 'it's not for booze is it? only beer..' and he said 'nah i'm muslim, i don't drink!'

Where I live has a large homeless population even though the area is pretty decent. I think our local government is too lax in tolerating them. A lot of them are incredibly aggressive.

The best way to deal with the homeless is not to engage with them at all. Just keep walking. After I had a few turn down food and kept insisting for money, I stopped even acknowledging their presence.

I donate to charities around the city. Thats my contribution. Like the miscer said above, I just tell them I don't carry cash with me anymore I just have cards (and its true). Cash and coins are poverty and dirty.....now that I think about it, I haven't touched a Legal Tendered Note in the year of 2017.

I want to see proof of this. I've heard vague mentions of this but don't believe it. It doesn't make sense that someone can afford to live like that just from pan handling

I was homeless for awhile after my Dad kicked me out at 18. I never broadcasted it or asked anyone for money but random old white people kept trying to give me money. That chit was insulting.

theres a few that alternate near the corner in my neighborhood and I've passed them everyday and never spared a dime. They seem to be just fine

Gave money to one homeless guy once at the beach. Never saw him again and I was out 2 bucks. Didn't really benefit me

I just got home now (it's 3am) and i spent about an hour with some homeless dude in London.

I saw him a few times before so I recognised him he remembered my name and i said are you hungry he said yeah so we went to the burger king in Paddington that's open til 2am and i bought him a king rodeo and fries for 2pounds.

While we were waiting for them to cook it he showed me the letter he got from the hospital saying the results of the brain scan came in and it's grown from 5mm to 13mm. (The tumors that i didn't know he even had).

He said he's thinking about getting the operation because it has cancerous cells in it but some ladies parents told him not to because they messed up and paralysed their daughter when they went in at the back of her neck...

We walked back to my bike and he ate his food and i rolled us a couple of cigarettes. He said he had got enough money today for the hostel but he had to go and pay the man in the shop back that lent him a tenner yesterday...

I said cool I'll walk with you if you want we went up to marble arch and the McDonald's he wanted to go to was closed.

So he was planning to walk around til the morning until the day centre opened up so he could shower and get breakfast etc.

We were walking back to my bike and he all of a sudden said I'm feeling dizzy i feel like I'm gonna collapse.i had to catch him from faceplanting into the floor and i carried him to a ledge where he sat for a minute...

Just a few feet away there was a closed restaurant that left wooden benches outside so i said let's go there and then you can sit down but he couldn't move . So after a few minutes i helped him come to the benches and sit down then all of a sudden he started yakking up everywhere. He threw up for a few minutes and i said "well there goes my burger king" (lol) and he was fading a bit so i just let him chill til he came round and he asked me if I have credit on my phone can i order a cab for him.

He gave my a number but it was dead so i found a nearby cab place and called a cab place for him to go to North London to try and beg a place from his distant family.

During the time I spent with him he talked a lot to me.
He told me all about how he became homeless and it wasn't his fault. His landlord wanted to sell his place so breeched his tenancy contract and even though in that instance the council has a legal liability to house him they didn't. He explained how they fuked him about and at first they paid his hotel costs at first but then they stopped and lied about not having copies even though the head office said they did etc.
He had fallen out with his family after his dad died and loads of other stuff and you could see he was at rock bottom man. I really felt for him and in his situation there's nothing you can do. His sister called the police on him for trying to sleep in his mum's back garden where he used to live because she took the house after his dad died and didn't let him get his inheritance. She also had a go at him for telling his mum about his growing brain tumor.

He told me about however though the system is initially set up to help it's not like that because the people that work there are burnt out disgruntled employees that hate the homeless people and always fuk them over whenever possible to reduce statistics and hit targets etc.

Loads more stuff but i don't wanna write a whole essay so I'll cut it short. But basically, homeless people are people too, and even though they have to adapt to survive on the streets they still have human feelings and emotions.

All you guys saying ignoring them is how you deal with it. That's cognitive dissonance. Ignoring something is not dealing with it. It's the exact opposite.

What did I do with this guy ? Spent 2quid, a bit of time, and a cigarette and a phone call to a cab company. But it made a huge difference in his life.

Even though misc is full of miscers we can't let "ignore them " be the official misc stance of this.

You should take pride in helping out someone who needs help. It doesn't show weakness, it shows your strength.

The other guy (his friend) that i used to help out when I could and talk to sometimes if now doing much better. Apparently he has met the criteria after soamy denials for some housing now and he's getting back on his feet.
Hopefully this guy will also have a brighter future than his current situation too.

I'm not sure how I can put this any clearer.

You have tried to call me out on my golf, my lifts, my houses, my marathons etc etc. Each time I have offered you a bet for whatever you want that I can back up my claims, with whatever proof you want. And each time you have pussed out.

It is pointless taking you up on your call out, much as I would like to. You are a pathetic excuse for a man

He's homeless and the hospital delivered him a letter?

You are a much better person than me but there is so much in there that he told you that sounds ridiculous. Wouldn't give him his inheritance? It doesn't work like that. Council lost his paperwork? Really?

I've worked mostly low skilled jobs that anyone could do. Has he ever even tried?

Well yeah but... nah

You could spend thousands on rehabbing one person, set them up in a flat, we all know they will work for a week, argue with the boss get fired and go right back to the street and get loaded. It's not fixable 99 times out of a hundred(think of all the celebs with the time and money to straighten themselves out and fail time after time)

Thats fukin funny OP because if you went into any town, especially Manc you'd see entire streets full of them and that little village they've got going near Picc station. brb the first thing you see in glorious Manc is that cess pit of tents and rubbish. The area is ruled by druggies, dealers and other mental patients because the council refuses to do anything about it and clears up after them.

Hell even with the council looking after them and tidying up, plus the charity do-gooders the area is still a ****ing mess because all they're doing is enabling the behaviour.

2017 and there is a tent village in middle of millions of ££ of real estate and the door to the city centre. Absolutely fukin sickening.

I've started a charity that provides discreet vans for homeless to masturbate in privacy instead of doing it in public. We plant these "mobile beat labs" all around major cities and in the past year "Beat the Homeless" INC has really taken off

It is pointless taking you up on your call out, much as I would like to. You are a pathetic excuse for a man
I've also called you out on your hair and each time you've ducked it. Like decent hair genetics obviously ducked your bloodline.

Sam "Call me out brah" Bolton backs down again. Typical. No balls. No hair.
