I could never take that show seriously because right off the bat, at the name "twin peaks", I can only think of breasts. Pretty sure the show has none, so won't watch it.

There's a lot of boobs in the movie, Fire Walk With Me, which is essential viewing for Twin Peaks and will be essential to the new season.

Just FYI
Stop it. Get some help.

The thing is, I'd highly recommend watching the fan-edit which incorporates the deleted scenes from the "Missing Pieces" feature. But it extends it to 3 hours long.... Worth it though.

I hated the ending. That last episode got weird as chit...

I guess it makes it a bit better knowing that lynch apparently didn't think that was the end. It was supposed to lead into another season but it never happened

Spoiler!
crazy chit the one girl said "see you in 25 years" and they started to reboot the show then

I'm basically obsessed with the new season. It's the most brilliantly bizarre television I've ever seen.

I was going to wait til next week to watch episodes 3-4 as they air, but I couldn't hold off.

I was one of the people going on in this thread about how amazing TP is.

But this new season is lost on me. I can't believe that people are enjoying it so much, I'm finding it hard to watch. It's less Twin Peaks than some Inland Empire/Mulholland Drive/Eraserhead mash-up. Get over to Dugpa for serious, in depth discussions on this.

And therein lies my difficulty with the first go-round of Twin Peaks. Then again, it sounds like classic David Lynch.

Yeah it feels like a total amalgamation of Lynch's work, with a story involving Twin Peaks. But only 4 episodes have aired and each episode seems to be going further into Twin Peaks.
There's 14 more hours of story though. A lot of time to really get into it.
Stop it. Get some help.

As weird as it is and for as much as I struggled to get into it at first. I ended up sucked in by the show's oddly compelling, melodramatic nature.

I did a paper on David Lynch and can say the man has a pretty bizarre sense of humor. He also has always been a niche film type of director. Just learning a bit about DL the man can reveal a bit more understanding about his movies. Thing is, I liked Dune which he did not.

I watched about 10 minutes of Dune once and couldn't get the blank stare off my face for an hour.

Fascinating guy tho, I know he is big into Transcendental Meditation too.
