Can't really blame religious people - 90% of them are brainwashed from birth. What can ya do? Some people break free of the mental shackles but most can't and don't want to. Why would you want to have lived a lie? Better to carry on pretending you believe in that bchit.
Believe in lies spouted by authority, then make those lies your reality, then tell others they are ignorant for not believing words/images you saw but can't experience or prove with any empirical evidence. Complete irony, science is no longer science but a dogma based on faith and trust in authority.

But admitting to praying, or hoping God will save you means having to admit that your beliefs are at the very least in conflict. Easier to just keep it to yourself and continue as normal.

People who were born muslim will be 100% certain that their faith is right. Why? Because they were born into it. They were told it was right their whole life so it is ingrained in them now.
People who were born jewish are 100% certain that their faith is right...because they were also indoctrinated from birth.
Their religions say conflicting things, so at least one of them has to be wrong. But how can you say that one is wrong and one is right, when neither have any evidence? Surely it is likely that they are both wrong

Yep. Wish I believed all that. Must be nice to be brainwashed at such a young age to believe that everything happens for a reason and when you die, you will continue to live forever in this perfect place in the sky

Do some research on general relativity related subjects, and you'll realize that most everything seems to have a mathematical or formulaic reason or element to it. I don't believe this is a coincidence, I believe it points to an extremely intelligent creator. I can understand both sides, but how can you judge the other when both believe that nothing turned into something, whether that be that it started with a creator or the universe?

Intelligence has little to do with it. Outside of outliers such as Hitchens and Dawkins atheists are as dumb as everyone else.
But yes, I wish I still had my faith. But belief is not a choice.

Also if you think you need to be stupid to be religious, it's because you're too stupid to think for yourself so you interpret everything in religious text however you want in a negative aspect in order to discredit it, most likely cause you fear what would happen if you're the ones who are wrong

I have faith, I think it comes down to the individual. Same thing can be said for science, if you were to ask anyone 200 years ago about penicillin or tell medieval human's we are comprised of billions upon trillions of cells. They'd laughed in your face that you are a moron. Science is all about faith, believing in fantasy and making it reality. Personally I think science and faith go hand in hand. Just because you can't see something or prove it doesn't exist doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There's no proof it exists, but at the same times there's no proof it doesn't exist.
If you do have faith in the impossible, what are the downsides to believing in it? Perks, if there is a heaven and you believe you'll go to Heaven, if you don't believe you'll go to hell. I mean, believing in something doesn't make your life any worse. But lol at it being for dumb people, you probably have an arts degree or are a car salesman. Intelligence has nothing to do with faith. In fact most scientists have faith maybe not in God but definitely the unknown. Clearly you're an arts major or on that unemployed time like most Brits.

So of course you're gonna try and be as confident as you can. Oh what a surprise - religion promises great things! You just have to be a brainwashed sheep from now until you die. You're probably thinking of American athletes and Americans are generally religious so...

Also science claims fact before admitting fiction so your credibility is limited. At least religion is up front with what's on the table. TBH you seem more the sheep
Hm.
