people does not care about the food, the supermarkets are full of cheap sugar, meal deals of sandwich + chips + drink, and it is easy to take and eat. and the most harm for the people are the drinks, very easy way to intake a lot of kcal, full of sugar.

This one patient was drinking 5-6 cans of regular coke per day and wondered why he had diabetes, was overweight and in his current situation. 150 grams of empty, useless sugar every day will slowly kill you.
Those people are beyond help, but why didn't he just switch to diet soda?

It's a combination of things. Work and family kills 90% of your time. How can you eat healthy working 9 hours 5 days a week? And then there's kids you have to worry about.

What I've noticed from being a former fatty myself and my dad, extended family etc is the late night snacking and couch eating. You should stop eating at least in my opinion 3 hours before you sleep. It's that extra food that you don't need that catches up to you. Otherwise they don't really eat too crazy. That and complete lack of exercise - and when they do go to gym it's not usually productive.

It's not fuking breakfast. It's being sedentary, having 0 knowledge of nutrition, lack of actual motivation to change habits, mindless grazing/snacking, meals out with friends & family with huge portion sizes where people ignore calories/health because they're "eating out anyway", emotional eating, & possibly alcohol. Breakfast makes no difference, people ultimately just eat more cals later in the day:http://www.fasebj.org/content/30/1_S...nt/lb394.short

Thats where skipping breakfast aka IF comes in

Saving cals in the morning so that you dont have to go to bed hungry while still maintaining/losing weight is the GOAT feeling

You actually do consume less cals if you skip breakfast and are sticking to your diet

what kind of fatty would skip breakfast just to eat non filling junk foods with the intention to lose weight?

If your already skipping breakfast I assume you already have more dedication and motivation to lose weight than your average person

why would you intentionally skip breakfast just to eat in a surplus the rest of the day if your goal is weight loss?
Big facts only.

Not an Ameribrah but from what I can tell, the whoel fat acceptance culture plays a big part of the obesity epidemic (ie. everyone is beautiful, fat is healthy, say no to fat shaming, etc...). Fat people should be toppled over and rolled uncontrollably down a grassy hill just to get the point across that they should not be this way.

Current fat American adult here, trying to get less fat.

I've honestly seen great results just staying out of the middle of the grocery store. All the garbage is in the middle aisles. I don't walk down them, don't browse, no temptation.

That and I'm finally kicking my own ass in the gym daily.

That's an incorrect assumption. Binging late at night=not hungry for breakfast. I know plenty of fat people who "aren't hungry" in the morning & eat nothing. Also, people eat in a surplus & ask why they're fat when they only eat two meals per day. Cals in vs cals out.

Usually do a fasted workout then eat fruit with a protein shake and oats for post/breakfast.

Actually starting a blood type regiment. Soon I'll only be eating foods for my blood type. Anyone else do or try this?

I feel that an overwhelming majority of people consume liquid calories in excess through adding things to their coffee, soda, juice, or alcohol. All of those things should be avoided 80+% of the time, and alcohol should be the other 20%, lol.

Also, people eat a ton of carbs + fats I'd also assume. Or just not-whole-foods in general. Processed foods, boxed "products", fast-food, fried foods, quick foods (anything microwaved), etc.

You try to mention diet to someone and they immediately get rustled or justify it somehow. We'll see how that plays out in 10-30 years (stay safe).

imo it's just ignorance about nutrition, which is knowledge that we take for granted but other people may legit not know (how calories and tdee works, protein recommended intake, surplus of 3500kcal=1 lb of bodyweight, etc.). Also the fact that most people are sedentary contriubutes to it

but of course they don't taste as good so people opt for high calorie options

They miss breakfast, so by morning tea-time they've low blood sugar and are feeling woozy - it'd be 14-16 hours since their last meal, dinner last night. This is when they head to the vending machine for a Mars bar and Coke.

By lunchtime it's now 18 hours since their last meal, they didn't bring lunch to work with them, so it's off to the food court. The sandwich bar beckons, but the McDs or KFC smells good and is much quicker. Chomp. Coke again. Slurp.

Afternoon tea is just coffee.

After eight hours of work and no food with much else than calories (not much protein, not much vitamins and minerals) they stagger home exhausted. What's that? Fridge is empty? Well there's the "vegetable crisping" drawer, but then they'd have to decide what to make, chop vegies, blah blah... hey look in the freezer there is a frozen chicken kiev, whack that in the microwave, there we go.

Somehave a good dinner, especially if there's a stay at home parent to organise things for them. But that's their first good meal of the day. Notice also no fruit was consumed during the day.

After dinner they settle down on the couch in front of the tv and knock back a couple of beers, chips, chocolate biscuits, that sort of thing.

Through this day they made sure to park the car close to the entrance to work, go to the closest food court at lunchtime, and so on. They walked at most 2,000 steps during the day.

Because they don't have an active job or lift, they're weak, they have low muscle mass. So their body doesn't consume much energy just sitting around, the way it would if they had lots of muscle. Their knees hurt when they sit down and stand up, so that couch - they're staying on it all night. Their back hurts, too - all that time sitting makes their abs weak, their lower back does all the work, and again it's not strong, plus they carry a bit of extra weight at the front, so it's asking too much of it. "I'd like to work out, but I have bad knees and a bad back."

They stagger to bed, eight hours later their alarm goes off and it starts all over again.

So yes: fat people miss breakfast.

As a trainer, my only nutrition question for newbies is: "What did you have for breakfast?" My favourite answer: "a couple of cans of beer." Do I really need to ask them about the rest of their day? Breakfast sets the pattern for the rest of the day. If you can't organise yourself to have a good breakfast, you won't organise yourself to have any other good meals, either.
You posted no evidence fat people skip breakfast, that doesn't even make sense

so it's fit people keeping waffle houses and donut shops profitable lol, it was passing by a breakfast place and noticing all the fatties that prompted me to make this thread...now I'm hearing fat people don't eat breakfast so I guess they were just mirages I saw
