We were talking. Says he is married.
Ask what his wife does for work.
He says she is a "say at home wife"
I said oh. How many kids do you have.
He said umm none. But she takes care of the house and her dogs.
I pause. . . And say ... oh

Dude makes 60k-80k a year in a expensive area so he is not loaded.

Was unware a stay at home wife was a thing without kids or super wealthy

Guy did this when I first started my career 10 years ago. We both made $35K/year. His wife stayed at home in their trailer and he had like 3 kids and spent a lot on fixing up his old POS cars. Pretty sure he sold drugs to supplement his income because he acted like he had a lot of money and I was single and living with my parents and could barely afford to buy the chit I wanted.

For a woman to be a legitimate stay at home "wife" with no kids; she'd have to have lunch prepped for me to eat at work, dinner prepared when i got home, clothes would have to be washed, dried, folded and hung by color palate, with the house spotless on the regular. crazy bit is, that'd still only take up roughly 5 hours of her day giving her a 3 hour window to be getting bottom'd out by the neighborhood tyrone or ricardo. das certainly not it mane.

My husband always used to say that he'd rather have me home than me having "some stupid job" that apparently did not bring enough money to be worth me never being around.

However, I can't stand staying at home, and was always taking courses and volunteering even when I wasn't working.
