Sorry for the long posts. Marriage has certainly completely ruined some men. I would never, ever marry a woman less educated than me and earning significantly less money. I spent a fair amount of time in Asia and saw many Western guys in finance pulling in a couple hundred thou easily who basically married peasant girls. Every single such marriage has been a disaster. The women have zero respect for the guys and are driven purely by money. Plus in the country I was in the sloots would get knocked up ASAP then threaten the guy with never seeing their child again unless they agreed to pay exorbitant 'child support' payments.

Generally these guys were marrying younger women though. Younger but not attractive in my eyes.
Not all women that earn less are after money, but ye you must be cautious.

You make me want to dump mine and find one like yours. IDK if that would ever happen for me though since I dislike the vast majority of women, and typical female traits. What age were you when you met?

Mine is literally my best friend and actually genuinely a good person.

With age I have grown to basically think almost everyone is annoying. Magically she doesn't annoy me at all. She also has never tried t change or has gotten annoyed by the stuff I do or like.

All my friends that hate their marriage hate it because they made terrible choices. They married broads that weren't genuine people, they compromised for the other person the whole time the dated, had nothing in common, and/or the married a broad that settled for them. Basically once the ring went on, the broad gets resentful because it made nothing better in their marriage fantasy. The guy usually acts like a cuck and constantly bends the knee for the turd.

In the end, figure out who are Genuine people and who aren't. It really isn't that hard. Social potatoes can't figure it out for some reason. Once you do, then you are golden

Also really helps that she is a college graduate that has moved up the ladder in her field and is financially conservative. Very hard to find in broads

Every girl is "nuts" bro and I don't mean that in a bad way. A girl will drive you crazy but if you have someone who is your legit best friend then you wouldn't wanna be driven crazy by anyone else.

Like podunks my gf is my best friend. We do argue sometimes, but that's how any relationship is gonna be. It can be really hard at times but at the end of the day you still think how lucky you are to be with that person and would pick the chittiest times with them over anything with anyone else.

Unless of course you mean really nuts and all the girls you've dated are legit psychos...

GF wants to get married. I don't.

She said she'll break up with me in a year or so if I don't want to and I'm fine with that.

She lied because going into it we said we don't want to get married and she was divorced once before.

We've been dating 2 years. She's older by 6 years, but we get a long great. However the sex fukkn blows most of the time.

Nobody who believes the opposite gender is inferior to their own or should be judged on single attributes will be able to form a solid relationship that will improve your life. Your partner is supposed to make you want to be a better person.

My husband and I make each other better people and rely on each other's strength and wit. You don't have to live in each other's pockets, we have our own interests, friends in common and separate, different careers. You do have to work at it sometimes. We also have children and have done a pretty amazing job together raising them.

Wife is super loyal and has supported me through a lot.

I generally enjoy spending time with her but wish I had more guy friends to hang out with (no homo).

Couldn't find a more decent girl with strong values but I have to admit I am somewhat intrigued by the free spirit, hippyish types. Not sure they're good marriage material though.

I could probably see myself being totally sick of marriage at some point down the line. Still not convinced two human beings were supposed to spend like 40 years together and never have sex with other people.

So I'm pretty happy but it's a stable happiness not a whirlwind passion sort of happiness. Which is ok with me at this stage in my life.

I've been lucky. As I say I see what a lot of friends have to put up with in their marriages and it's absolutely fukking astounding. Blows my mind that the guys haven't either topped themselves or killed their wives. It's gruesome in many cases.

I still don't really believe in marriage or monogamy as principles but am happy enough to go along with it at this point.

I guess I wish we both had our own independent social circles, that would be much better. And maybe some hobbies in common. We used to run together but we're both average for our genders so naturally I'm a lot faster than her. She really likes outdoorsy stuff (hiking, etc - and is genuinely into it, not just the claim all sloots make) and I guess I'm more into film, books, music. We try to strike a balance. She went to Sonar with me recently and in return I'll go on some hiking holiday with her.

Hope I've given an honest answer. As I say during the worst arguments I've had the desire to smack her but am sure she's probably wanted to smack me too.

There's really little upside for me though. Nothing much changed after marriage compared to before. I did it cos as I said she's traditional and it made her happy. We had a very cheap but fun wedding but I did spend a decent amount on the ring. That pissed me off. I wanted her to be one of those girls that think diamond engagement rings are stupid. But she isn't and doesn't.

Great and honest post man. Repped. Read a few posts from guys saying they are really happy in their marriage and even just by reading those I still don't understand any significant difference between being married vs. being in a relationship. I imagine those same guys were just as happy in their relationship together prior to the marriage. I just don't see any major benefit when you can have a perfectly happy and healthy relationship without the legally binding document. IMO it just adds in another variable that could potentially make things extremely difficult down the line if anything changes between the two involved. Best of luck to all the married brahs, wish all y'all happiness!

There doesn't have to be a difference, but in reality there is - statistics for outcomes of children raised by married vs single parents bear this out.

Again though, nobody has to be a statistic and people can obviously be committed without marriage.

One thing I would say you need to know going in, is that marriages are work. You have to put in the work to stay attracted, or else why not just smash the hot girl you saw at work or the grocery store. Your wife has to be able to let things go sometimes. If not, you will die miserable or get a divorce lol.

I love my wife always, but I can't stand her sometimes, if that makes sense.

For that outcomes of children statistic you referred to comparing married vs. single parents I would definitely agree, but I'm more referring to couples who are still together in a committed relationship and just aren't married.

Probably would be tough to take statistics on that though since not being married long term seems to be a newer development.

I legitimately got really, really really really really lucky in my current relationship. VERY smart, hard working, frugal/doesn't like to spend money but makes pretty good money (75k+), gorgeous, tall about 5'10.5 lol, cool family, PERFECT sense of humor. As in... when we hang out, we basically just laugh for the entire day/night. We can't even have a normal phone call without laughing about whatever dumb sh!t we say. Really good body, very skinny lol, naturally really tan. Exact same style/taste in things as I have/in houses/etc. Similar political views, she realizes all the sjw bullsh!t going on and sees some of the things really going on in this country that people don't talk about publicly. Shares a lot of the same opinions. Likes to cook, cleans. Would make an amazing parent and wants to have 3+ kids. Hasn't been around a ton before me (1 super long relationship and kill count of 4), isn't that type. Isn't jealous one bit and is really open, etc.

I sometimes wonder if it will last, I really don't know. I sound indifferent but at the same time I would die for her in an instant.

I know you're getting applause for this but it sounds like a chit basis for a relationship to me.

Lmao, still with her? Bruh....

I met a chick about 2 months ago that is super easy to be around, probably the only chick I've ever met that's as active as I am. I was going to sit on my ass this evening (suuuuper sore) and she came over with her paddle board all ready to go so we went paddle boarding up at the river and watched the sun set while laying on it in the water. Pristine bro..... I don't know how things will go with her (it's only been 2 months and we aren't even official yet or anything) but I seriously can do anything with this chick. She's into everything I like doing and if I have 2-3 days I'm unavailable for work, she won't even text me unless I text her first because she doesn't want to get in my business. She's confident as ****, she's good at everything she does and she fcking did 10 muscle ups in the gym the other day.

These women exist. I never in my life thought I'd meet someone I could stand to be around because I 99.9999999% of the time CAN NOT STAND being around a woman for more than an hour or so. Gossip, talking about dumb ****, western garbage, etc. I hate it. Not once have I got sick of this chick. It's crazy, they exist!!!!!

Just saying dude. Time to find a better match for you but I've been saying that for months so you do you.

Nah, sounds like a dude basis for relationships. I can't imagine what women think and I think women would have a better go of it accepting they don't understand how guys think.

While reading that post, I could put myself in his shoes 10x over with some of the women I've dated. I never took it to the marriage level, or even that long of a relationship to be honest but I totally understand the indifference aspect of it because it's hard for me to enjoy the stereotypes that women force onto the relationship:

-marriage
-expensive, stupid ass fcking rings
-talking about things women like that I don't like

A lot of guys, even guys who are active and passionate about what we do don't have a lot in common with women. Very rarely do you meet one where that isn't the case. Dudes, as much as they don't want to admit it, settle a bit for marriage in order to make the woman happy. I know plenty of us give zero fcks if we ever get married but holy hell would it be raining acid upon the earth if the woman thought we didn't ever want to marry them. We do things in order to compromise and make them happy. It sounds like the post we both quoted is a perfect example of that.

Happy relationship with ups and downs. Didn't care about super long term but conceded in order to make wife happy. Welcome to being a man in society.

Agreed; not always the case but it is most of the time. A woman's sexual market value is highly determined via her looks, which typically diminishes before age 30. It makes perfect sense why women pressure their men into marriage, unless the man is much older. How romantic is that? Guy gets pressured into marriage with ultimatum, proposes and it's all wonderful.

Glad you found a woman you enjoy hanging with.

That's what men your age say, but women my age have conversations of depth. What I assume is that we were not raised on social media, so we can have intellectual conversations for hours, unlike my younger counterparts.

Now I have met some young women who can, yet I have noticed that they were raised in Europe, and went to top schools there. Those are the only outliers I see under the age of 30.

I personally can discuss Amazon's announcement of the acquisition of Whole Foods,Maynard's philosophy as the lead singer of TOOL and A Perfect Circle, or the Decline of the Roman Empire for hours. Yet most engineers find this to be annoying and would rather play video games!!! Sigh. We all know that my brain is full of a lot of useless facts from being a history buff, etc.

How can you dislike the majority of women but pick one of the worst from the bunch from the screen shots you've sent of manipulating you for money, bringing up other men giving her money and attention, etc?

She is the epitome of the terrible traits that men post on here, yet you stay with her and shun other women who are like those the happy men describe ITT.

There are a ton of women I know personally where you live who are attractive, have conversations of depth, and financially successful, travel all around the world, but in their late 30s so you better get them before it's too late and they can't have children.

I'll give an old guy's perspective. Will be married 25 years this year and while of course life isn't roses all the time, overall if you marry someone who you truly enjoy being with both physically and socially, someone you "click" with, it's good.

I have been married for 13 years. We have two kids. She has stood by me when I was deployed to Iraq for a year. She has stood by me when I came home broken, addicted, and drunk. We have both been through a lot together and I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather go through another 13 years with than her. We view our marriage through our Christian lenses now as to where we didn't before. She was the reason I finished my BA when I got home from overseas. She was the reason I started and finished my MA, too. I wouldn't have done either had she not persuaded me.

We both do well financially, no children, probably won't ever have them, we have some common interests and she's always up for trying new things which is super important. At the same time were both individuals as well.
We got married kinda young I was 26 she was 24, but we've been very fortunate that as we continue to become who we are individually were also growing stronger together. My wife is a gem. No doubt the best person I know, wel maybe 2nd best, her mom is a saint.
There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do for my wife, aND I know she feels the same.
All that said, were not perfect. We bicker for sure. To this day however we haven't had a single massive fight. We got married for the right reasons, we see eye to eye on all of life's major issues. Everything else can be handled easily.
I am the man in my relationship aND my wife is the woman. She's a traditionalist . She looks to me to make the decisions and she trusts me. That doesn't mean we don't talk about EVERYTHING. Our communication is on point , we don't keep anything inside if we're not happy about something. We have a ton of fun together and can legit make each other laugh.
Honestly wouldn't wanna do life without her.
lmao. a copypasta is born.

Four pages of happily married miscers and I've never met ONE in real life. I guess everyone really is 6'5" 250 CEO 10k a day Chad on the misc...LOL

I'm over 40 and every married person I know:

1) wouldn't do it again
2) has been divorced
3) is actively thinking about divorce
4) is actively cheating to get their sexual needs met

...and before you say I should get better friends this includes people at my work, people at my church, friends, neighbors etc

Marriage is tuff but there were times and places in history when making it work was easier. Getting it to work in today's climate with this generation of women...fuuuugetttabout it

Same. The only happily married couples I know are 50+ where they grew up and got married before this degenerate generation and before the West went to complete chit. Happily married couples under 40 are rare.

Miscers really are a special breed, unique exceptional individuals who are at the pinnacle of every aspect in life. I salute them.
