My wife bought an Ascend D10 from Bass Pro back in March. She seems to really like it and the price was fair.
She actually just took our 33lb French Bulldog in the kayak for the first time yesterday. He did really well and just watched the fishing boats go by the entire time lol.

SOT only way to go. What's your budget? Kayaks are all over the place but you can get a good fishing platform in all price ranges. Hobie Pro Angler would be the top, low end would be something like the Perception Pescador which is the old Tarpon 120 mold before they changed it. Damn good basic kayak and easy to paddle. Jackson would be your in betweens, Cobra makes a great fishing platform as well.

I think I would rather a sit on top for fishing, just because that seems more popular. I have zero experience with either. I probably wouldn't take the pupper when I'm actually fishing, but it would be cool to make short trips with him.

I would say at or under $1000 for now. I don't know if this is something I'll be serious about so I don't want to blow my whole load in the beginning. I feel like that will still get me something nice but no Hobie. I was looking at the Pescador because they carry them at Academy and one was just built about an hour from me. I may take a day this weekend and go check out all the places that carry them and see what looks good.

Yes. I bought a hobie outback off of Craigslist for like $1,500. Having foot pedals to move so you have your hands free is a game changer. The tarpon or whatever they call it now is good if you wanna paddle.

I am trying to get some kind of small center console at some point.

Decided yesterday at about 4-5 pm it would be a good idea to go out to some breweries, get some grub, etc... etc... fast forward till 2am we're in my back yard with a few 6'ers burning logs in the firepit. Fcking hate myself right now... AND the A/C is broken in my building today. Cruel world got jokes

Mornin' MFC.. Finished the build and took her out to the range Friday. I love how the rifle turned out. I wish I had pics of the targets, but it's driving nails at 300 yards. I wanted to go out to the 500, but the wind was a b****, making it a bit more difficult.

It is a Remington 700P, 338 Lapua Magnum.

I've been doing this. That's the problem.
Buy something nice used, and keep it in good condition. If you dis your homework you'll get 100% of your money back. I bought a whole packaged Cobra Fish'n'Dive with nice paddke nice seat all kind of extras, used it for over a year and sold it for the same price and kept the paddle and seat and most of the other stuff that cane with it.

Welp, my oldest made his first online firearm purchase last week. He sent it to the one shop in town that's open on weekends and not on file with SOS......needless to say, if he had sent it to my guy(whom they have ON FILE!), he would probably have it by the middle of this week. Now he's playing games on the phone trying to find someone who will accept the transfer, since my guy is closed today and SOS won't just take his word that they'll accept the transfer. A little lesson for him, I guess.
