Gorsuch & Thomas not happy that the SCOTUS declined to chime in on the CA *******ry related to ccw.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017...ts-appeal.html
Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch issued a scathing dissent Monday to a Supreme Court decision turning away yet another gun rights case.
On a busy morning of decisions, the court on Monday rejected a challenge out of California regarding the right to carry guns outside their homes, leaving in place a San Diego sheriff's strict limits on issuing permits for concealed weapons.

The Court’s decision to deny certiorari in this case reflects a distressing trend: the treatment of the Second Amendment as a disfavored right. The Constitution does not rank certain rights above others, and I do not think this Court should impose such a hierarchy by selectively enforcing its preferred rights.
The Court has not heard argument in a Second Amendment case in over seven years—since March 2, 2010, in McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U. S. 742. Since that time, we have heard argument in, for example, roughly 35 cases where the question presented turned on the meaning of the First Amendment and 25 cases that turned on the meaning of the Fourth Amendment. This discrepancy is inexcusable, especially given how much less developed our jurisprudence is with respect to the Second Amendment as compared to the First and Fourth Amendments.
For those of us who work in marbled halls, guarded constantly by a vigilant and dedicated police force, the guarantees of the Second Amendment might seem antiquated and superfluous. But the Framers made a clear choice: They reserved to all Americans the right to bear arms for self-defense. I do not think we should stand by idly while a State denies its citizens that right, particularly when their very lives may depend on it. I respectfully dissent."

Been contemplating sig p229 or alaskan redhawk as my next purchase.
The Ruger seems like an unnecessary buy for me but damn is it sexy. Any thoughts?

Newly installed Apex Duty/Carry trigger in my Shield

Definitely less gritty than the stock trigger. It is lighter. Feels close to the weight of my Glock trigger so around 5.5lbs.
It still has that wall that you break with the trigger. I like the feel but I'm going to have to test it out today or tomorrow.

I know divide the number by 2. I'm nowhere near filling that right now, but I figure in the future, we'll definitely probably need that much space.

Guys, I registered for the basic pistol course at the bottom. Should I take the first steps one first instead? The description for basic pistol course says it's great for beginners or gun enthusiasts. Class is supposed to be tomorrow but I registered on the NrA website and have a link to pay through yet it says to register through his website. I don't know what to do, I tried calling but nobody answered so I left a message
