Good question. I'll check it out, thanks. I really like the slide of the p229.
If I was to ever carry, I'd take my Shield. One of my favorite guns at the moment.

Hold them both, go for for whichever is more comfortable. I have the p226 EE which is the one with the long beavertail and the short reset trigger. Real nice gun I love it.

A lot of guys in here seem to like the CZ Shadow. I went with the 226 cause the NJ mag caps are 15 rounds anyway so I wouldn't have to mess with them.

Yea, I'll def try them both out.
I went ahead and got the Alaskan. Eye has been on it for over 2 years now. Seemed like I got a decent deal. Will post pics when it comes in.

Tried shooting an AR with my non dominant hand (left)with my dominant eye (left) and the results were much much better.

Need to find some good targets for outside.

anyone else cringe at the touted 'tactical operator' stance? theres a local school that teaches (its heavy LEO based) and i swear they have people bent out so far their back is almost parallel to the ground with legs past shoulder length apart lmao. What's good? Not to bring a damper on the parade boyos but I was terminated today. Happened around noon.

Boss was after me for a few months, so after the 4th I'm going to be more aggressive with job hunting. I was brushing off some recruiters the past few months to improve my "performance" at work lol but my former manager just didn't like me or had a bad perception of me.

I had a drink and a bomb ass dessert tonight so that was good.

Back the drawing board.

Wait for these to go on sale IMO, should see the 64 around 1800-2000. They have a better fire rating, better security features, and a better layout. You will want the U shaped side on at least one side for easier access. The Rows of long guns is okay for shotguns, or unscoped rifles, but it's a waste of space for scoped guns because you have to stagger them, and you have to take everything out in front of one to get things in the back. Plus that safe has a different warranty, and it's a non transferable warranty.

Go look at the in person too, some of the lower models have interiors that are kind of rough looking. Browning also makes some good safes. They pretty much all have a good product line and a lower cost option, buy once cry once.

That sucks man, sorry to hear. You have any job prospects coming up quick or you going to take it easy and search for a while?

In on manager hating me crew. I really have no idea why at this point other than she's holding a grudge from years ago still (typical woman).

Luckily her manager loves me. I really think that's been my only saving grace. If it wasn't for him (guy who hunts, reloads, shoots, lifts) I think she would have found a way to get rid of me by now.

Better things coming sword, OMW to class and I realize there's two addresses that are 20 minutes apart FFS.

Website and NRA registration link show location but I believe that's location of office. Invoice sent by instructor after payment shows a different location in chicago

I took off work yesterday and was in the hospital with him, my mom and the gf most of the day. He is still intubated because his back is broken and he thrashes every time he wakes up. We spoke with a surgeon yesterday and he is supposed to go in at 10am this morning to repair his back the best that he can. He is fairly certain that my dad will be able to walk. Going to be a long recovery process for him, but he is alive so I really am not complaining. **** just sucks.

Been a rash of smash & grabs at gun stores around Denver . . . had like 5 or 6 in the last couple months. Got another one this morning. Almost all of them have been stolen Jeeps driving through the front of the store or ripping off the doors/gates.

Mornin' fella's... Only Tuesday and ready for a long weekend.. How's everyone celebrating freedom for the 4th?

On another note, my spending spree continues. Ordered the dies, powder, primers, bullets for my 338's. Reloading of peace to save some $$$. Also got a tumbler, media and case trimmer.. I relocated my workshop from my garage to my acquired "man cave" so I'm ready to do some reloading in A/C
