Figure I'd start posting some of my workouts so everyone can see what I usually do in the gym. Today was delt day.
1.) Smith Machine military press/medium grip upright rows/45lb plate raise - Triset. Banged out 5 rounds of 12-15 reps. Hit 225 for 12 on the last set of presses. Smith machine allows me to isolate my delts more I Feel as opposed to regular barbell or standing.
2.) Standing heavy laterals superset with seated straight arm laterals: 4 sets of 10-15 reps
3.) one arm cable side lateral: 3 x 10
4.) seated side lateral superset with machine overhead press (sitting reverse to mimic a BTN press more) 3 x 10-12 reps
5.) Bent over Cable rear delt raises: 4 x 15
6.) Reverse pec dec: 4 x 12-15
7.) Reverse DB delt raises on incline bench (layin on stomach)
Got this done in 50 minutes, then hit 17 minute intervals on elliptical. No stairmaster today because legs are beat up from leg day yesterday.

Tonight may be a reefed night. Was very drained lifting today. The extreme volume/frequency is definitely a lot to handle. I'm trying to strategically use my reefed during the week. I train Monday - Saturday So I'm thinking Wednesday or Thursday nights to replenish. Friday AM is my volume chest/heavy row day so Thursday would be the best bet I think. Gonna be a lot of experimenting the next 2-3 weeks due to this being new territory for me and not knowing how my body is going to respond to the 6 day split + low calorie.

I took your advice and kept my sodium up a little more, and added a day of lifting in. I'm at 6 days a week now with only Sundays off. Just making sure to control the volume with chest and back. Hitting Heavy chest Monday, volume back Tuesday..........then on Friday I have volume chest and heavy rowing/rackpulls.

Monday - Heavy Chest
Tuesday - Volume Back
Wednesday - Legs
Thursday - Shoulders
Friday - Heavy Back/Volume chest
Saturday - Arms
I couldn't move the days around much better than that, while trying to give some distance between the heavy days.

I would incorporate shoulders into your chest days and add another leg day. Personal preference on that one though. My shoulders already overpower my physique and I never train them. Androgen receptor concentration knowmsayin
What you have there looks great to me. Very similar to something I have done in the past. I wish I had time to do that again.

I seriously never train shoulders aside from rear delts so totally your call. I haven't done an OHP in years
I was suggesting you replace that shoulder day with a leg day

Ok potential new strategy: Granted I can't have my cake and eat it too. I only have 6 days to train, and my time is limited because I only have from 5AM - 615AM in the morning to lift + get in my 15 min of HIT. If I could have longer workouts it wouldn't be so hard, but such is the life of a husband and daddy.
Monday - Chest
Tuesday - Legs (squat focus + quads)
Wednesday - Back
Thursday - Delts
Friday - Legs (Deadlift focus + Hamstrings)
Saturday - Arms
This will give some break to the upper body during the week + I can still get my deadlifts in and space them out from squats enough. Thoughts?

224.6lbs yesterday morning. 4 more pounds and it will be the lightest I've been since I was 21.
Still at 2300 calories with 4 days of HIT, 6 days of training. Feeling pretty beat up so I'm hesitant to drop my calories more as my progress is definitely slowing.

Overall I'd say a 15% loss in strength, which I'm ok with considering I'm 40lbs lighter. I'm gonna deadlift tomorrow for some heavy sets, haven't done that since I was fat. My last deadlift was 605. Not expecting anywhere near that, but I'd be happy repping 500 for a couple reps.

I got 405 x 8 and that was it. Lower body compound strength is in the gutter. This is the first time I've done over 3 reps of deads in a working set in like 3 years though. Did some low 12" box squats after that to work on hip mobility and strength(LOL at this too, won't even post the weight), and some hammy/lower back work.
Going up to 2700 calories next week. With the volume, frequency and intensity I've been using along with supplementation I believe I'm too low. Past 3 weeks after about 6-7 days I'm ready to die. This is when I added in extra lifting + cardio. I don't want to rely on refeeds, so I'm going to up my portion sizes a little, or maybe add another small snack in.

I've had many failed cuts in the past, but this was easily my most successful for a few reasons.
- stopped the broscience stuff (gotta eat chicken and plain rice, 6 meals a day !!)
- Counting and tracking macros <-----this is easily the biggest reason for my success. I was overeating like crazy without even knowing it.
- got creative with cooking.
- I eat very bland during the day, and save calories to sometimes make a tasty dinner
- Halo Top Ice Cream <----life saver

I just add a lb of lean meat and done.....
Counting anything just idk, I lose the focus easy. I love the gym and lifting but sometimes much like today I just want to binge. Bought a pack of beef jerky, 2 gatorade's, and a bag of spicy Cheetos lol
Halo ice cream FTW, just wish it was not the same price as Ben and Jerry's because its hard to make the moral judgment of knowing one has half the cal's as the other but they are the same price lol

What stores have those Birds Eye things? They look really good, I haven't seen them.
I'd love to do IF, but I train at 5AM, and having my feeding window while I'm at work sucks, and I don't want to wait 6 hours after my lift to have my first meal despite many saying its OK. If I trained at night, I would 100% do IF for the convenience factor.

I just feel so much better off when I don't eat. I lift heavier when fasted, feel more energetic. I dig it.

Scale said 221 two days after my last reefed. Mirror is reporting back good things lately. Sliced open my thumb cutting sweet potatoes, and sliced my index finder on opposite hand from a piece of broke glass hiding in the sink drain. Made gripping for chest day very fun. My left shoulder has been killing me too along with waking up with my hands asleep a lot lately. Hoping I don't have a bulging disk or something going on in my neck (read numb hands is possible indicator)
Leg day tomorrow so hopefully these wounds will heal enough by Wednesday to not hinder back day much.
