Because they are holding out for marriage with a man that is educated, rich and good looking enough. It's delusional on their part to think they can get a better man at that age though.

Women will marry before the age of 25 (at the latest).

These societies value women's youth over everything else.
The body difference between a 20yo and 30yo female is drastic. Won't even go to 35-40.

That would obviously be stupid.

But if she gets a kid in her mid thirties, she will still be young and fit and can do so without significantly increasing the risk of having a disabled child.

That's what nature intended.
With each and every child the woman would learn more and gain more experience. So each successive child will be more and more successful in life.
Women are waiting too long.
30 years old - You'll be 49 by the time your first child is 18.
If we're talking about what nature intended I think we'd be looking at starting families a lot earlier than 18...

Things change to suit the current societies we live in... and with technology and exponential overpopulation it's even happening on a generation by generation basis now, people aren't making families and if they do they wait until really late

Isn't the divorce rate like 60% these days?

Also how many of those that remain married are actually happy and not just still together for the kids/out of convenience? Assume half of the remaining 40%.

It really doesn't seem worth the risk for a 20% chance of a happy marriage.

It's autistic to project female sexual value onto men. Let's just pretend that the internet isn't full of sites hooking up young women with successful middle-aged men.

Men don't have a wall because we start off being disposable. The wall is unique to females and they ignore the concept at their peril.

It doesn't even go off the hill at 35/37 - the % of 35-39 women who'll be pregnant within a year of trying is in the 90's.

A poster on here who works in the fertility field said his experience was that most women in their late 30's and early 40's got pregnant with minimal intervention, and that he felt 45 was the drop-off age .. my experience and observation would tie with that.

People have a totally skewed idea of womens' fertility window because most of our Mum's got married young, had kids young and then used very extreme forms on contraception - like sterilization - to avoid having more. Left to nature they'll keep having them til mid-40's (unless they have srs fertility issues - that would have affected them younger too). When I was a teenager two women I knew (two kinda air-heady women tbh) fell pregnant at 45 cause they thought they were gettin past it and weren't careful).

There is the use of surrogates. Then there are host of other issues, but that tends to deal more with legal and emotional issues, rather than biological ones.

The thing older women who tend to hold off on family and children so late in the game, is that many men stop playing that game after 30-35. The pool is slim pickings for women trying to tie down a man who is post 35, unless they are FA who are truly desperate for any type of human contact. Real, prime, grade-A Chads, I'm sure.

Most women aged 40+struggleto get pregnant.

Also, a 40 year old woman is over13 timesmore likely to have a kid with Down's syndrome compared to a 20 year old female.

Know next to nothing about autism and age tbh - saw it mentioned somewhere re. age of mother and father but would need to read up on it.

Your Mum may have had 2 unsuccessful pregnancies after 40 but that's not necessarily the norm; plus I've known women who've had miscarriages at all ages inc. early 20's - apparently something like 1 in 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage (some so early the mother doesn't even realise it's a miscarriage).

Risk of Down's for mother aged 40 is 1 in 100 - so 99/100 kids born to 40 yr old mothers do not have Downs. Stats and risks can be represented in v different ways.

(Also father's age matters - post 39/40 ability to get woman pregnant, risk of miscarriage and risk of birth defects are all worse ... UK & US fertility clinics have now stopped accepting > 39/40 yr old sperm).

This does not of course mean they can't and don't get women pregnant - and that the kids aren't fine; this similarly illustrates the fallacy of sweeping generalisations re. stats.
