Well that's just fukking despicable. Cop should go to prison. Srs.
How did anyone believe the video anyway? The cop walks straight to the pile of trash and, without putting on a glove, picks up the can with the drugs in it, like he knew exactly where they were gonna be. SMH.

What would you propose?
The following paper "estimates that if all death-sentenced defendants remained under sentence of death indefinitely at least 4.1% would be exonerated. We conclude that this is a conservative estimate of the proportion of false conviction among death sentences in the United States.."
This is for death-sentenced defendants, not crime in general, but the paper notes that though
"Death sentences represent less than 0.1% of prison sentences in the United States (7), but they accounted for about 12% of known exonerations of innocent defendants from 1989 through early 2012 (2), a disproportion of more than 130 to 1."
False convictions are few and far between. Good news?
No, because the vast majority of innocent defendants are undetected; this paper below notes the higher exoneration rate because "far more attention and resources are devoted to death penalty cases than to other criminal prosecutions, before and after conviction."

As such, they should have to suffer much harsher consequences when they abuse those powers.
Maybe people have misunderstood me, I'm not saying lynch the guy. I'm saying, put him on trial, find him guilty, there is video evidence after all, and then give him the needle. Maybe this will scare other corrupt cops and politicians into either quitting, or if they don't, hopefully they are caught and suffer the same fate.
The reality here is, this cop had no remorse in what he'd done, he didn't think about destroying someone else's life, he's clearly unfit to be a law enforcement officer. If he's not worried about destroying another person's life, then we shouldn't be worried about him being legally executed for being corrupt.
If I had it my way, corruption would be tried as treason against the US.

Sure, if you have a probabilistic model on how Baltimore cops accurately determine "career criminals" versus "good old boys" based on the.... oh wait, there is no evidence. What are you even talking about?
No need to follow a justice system anymore according to your logic.

This is why cops need to be punished twice as harshly as a civilian.

What he was trying to say from my understanding here would be a scenario:
Cops stake out a drug dealer, say he does most of his business in a specific alleyway.
The know obviously criminals could be smart, all it could take is a guy having enough time to ditch his drugs to get off, or just a slap on the wrist.
Cops want him bad enough they'd plant evidence nearby, that way even if they catch the guy with nothing on him, they could plant the nearby evidence on him and bring him down.
While it would overall be a gain, regardless it's still a ****bag move and encouraging and applauding such behavior is reprehensible (let alone from an officer) and begs the question: Where does it end?
Do you think cops getting away with that brand of "justice" are gonna stop there or venture further down that rabbit hole?
