Ask an NFL employee anything (SRS)
Hi guys!
So I've gotten this request from quite a few people. As some of you may know I am entering my second season cheering for a major NFL team. If you have any questions about rules, team politics, workouts, training camp or behind the scenes fun stuff just ask. This year I will also be assisting with our media department so I'm looking forward to that.
I will start by saying I can't tell you what team, as all social media where I reveal my affiliation must be approved by our social media director. I could get in big trouble or lose my spot, which would be bad.
Please respect the srs tag as well.
Thanks

How many of the cheerleaders are banging the players / coaches?
I've read cheerleaders are paid peanuts. Do a bunch of the girls become NFL cheerleaders solely to get close to the millionaire players and secure their future as their baby mommas and wives/gfs?
I know many teams in different sports have policies about staying away from the players and vice versa but come on.

My director is very strict about this too. One girl just went to a party that a player threw and she lost her spot. It's not worth it to most of us. I've only spoken to one player, ever and that's because he was apologizing for running me over by mistake during a game of flag football. That was a fun day though.

How early do you have to get to the stadium on game days?

What is the appeal of the job to you? It's obviously not money. You like dancing and showing off your body to thousands (and at times millions) for basically free?

I randomly met a group of Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders at a pizza place at 2am after going to the bars. They looked like normal people, they had average looking bodies in normal clothes and they had resting bltch face while waiting in line for some za. They were cool when I talked to them though. It was weird and an incredible coincidence. My question is, when you go out and random people ask what you do for a living do they believe that you're an NFL cheerleader?

Do most of the girls get along with each other, or do some of you put up with each other because it's a must? How long will you continue to do this?

There's some jealously because our directors have favorites and they're not good at hiding it.
I plan to do it for 5 years if I can--after the 5 year mark, they encourage you strongly to retire. Leave gracefully, if you will.
