They ran out of books for material, and their own "original" writing is basically fanservice galore, so they try to finish it while it can still be said that its good and before it turns into a complete clusterfuk. Finally little finger died although I agree it was a bit bul****ty but I was so tired of the character by now that i don't care.


I honestly loved this season, Dany was especially beautiful this season.


I know the writing has been kinda bad but what can you expect? they don't have the source material anymore, the lines have to be invented and at the pace of 1 season per year its hard to film it all, make the lines, the plot and so on.

Personally love Better Call Saul and I was skeptical having been a fan of BB. It's not Breaking Bad but it's actually pretty decent on its own. I would say it turned out pretty well for a spinoff.

Not sure what to expect with GOT spinoffs and not sure how interested I will be.

I thought this has been the best season, it's exciting and story is still good. Thinking about reading the books then I realize Martin has fuking written the ending yet.

Like everyone else, George Martin is a lazy cuck so they ran out of source material. Some of the shows greatest lines+scenes are ripped out verbatim right from the books.


Look no further than Tyrion. Arguably the star of the show, ever since Season 5 he's turned into the third friend on a blind date. His entire character hinged on sheer wit and intelligence and without he's become a waste of time and air space.

I will give the show this much, the penultimate seasons of shows on their final legs are usually a step down. They're so focused on setting up the 'end game' they forget to actually introduce a captivating story in between.

What was the point of the Sansa plot? Couldn't they have just excused Little finger of treason earlier in the season and killed him off? Why wait? It wasn't like they found actual evidence. That's valuable air time. What annoys me about this entire sub plot is the show has never been one about trickery and deceit. Killing little finger was supposed to be the 'aha' moment in the finale. We showed you one thing, BAM! It was another!

The band of 7 should have had an entire episode dedicated them going north of the wall. Do you know what make this show great? Bad decisions had real and sometimes dire consequences. Now? There's nothing any of the major characters can say or do to get killed and we as fans know it. It's become quite predictable.

I'm not complaining, it's just an observation. When characters did dumb things they died. Instead it feels more like a Marvel movie now especially with some of the 'comedic' lines they're throwing in.

Ghost couldn't get 1 second of air time? The season was rushed becauseit was 2 episodes but also because they introduced way too many interweaving smaller story lines. Imo you can sum this season up by looking at the Theon fight in the finale. He got kneed in the crouch! Wait... he has no member. Hahahaaa... You can't complain about not having time and spend 40 minutes setting up a very tired exchange between the two camps and 5 minutes with Theon finding a pair. Poor planning.

I've liked every season, although the biggest lulls were Seasons 5 and 6 IMO. I didn't rewatch those ones yet, whereas I've rewatched the first 4 seasons at least once. So maybe they are better on a second watch. I'll have to binge the entire series again at some point.

Of course everything is moving quicker as they reach the end of the story. I imagine a lot of people b!tching about the pace NOW were the ones b!tching about sh!t being "too slow" in the past. "IS WINTER EVER COMING?!" "OH NO, THEY'RE MOVING TOO FAST AND TELEPORTING!" What the fuk do you expect, constant affirmations of time passed in every scene? "I can't believe Jon has been gone for 3 months already!" That would get old pretty fast.

I think people just like to b!tch. People would rather look for things to complain about than turn their brain off and enjoy the media. Why return every week just to be frustrated about "how much the writing sucks now?" Yes, it seems more like a Hollywood movie than it does a book adaptation. Take it or leave it. I haven't read the books, maybe I'd be whinging as well if I had read them.

Nothing wrong with measured criticism. But people just wailing like little *******s about every single thing "DER WHERE DID THE CHAINS COME FROM!" They are annoying as fuk. But society at large is just fracturing into various states of extremism and hyperbole. Whether it's people's political opinions or what they think of the latest episode of Thrones. Strange times.
