That's weird unless you're in a majority urban youth area. I've been in theaters before where entire place nearly mobbed on a person for answering a call and talking quietly on a phone.

Watched a movie with the sequel to 300 and 2 dickheads on the other row to my side would not shut up. Turned around, told them to STFU repeatedly and they acted all offended. The way they looked at me I wanted to smash their faces in. Obnoxious kunts. They did shut up tho.

I only go to the last viewing on a week night (Monday-Thursday) or the early viewings (Noonish) on weekends. I never see the newest releases within the first couple of weeks. I get into movie theaters for free so I do like to go fairly often. However I definitely don't like crowds. Usually when I go there is between 5-10 other people in the room.

There's always some annoying piece of sh*t @ the cinemas, sometimes you can get lucky. If you want any snacks+ticket here it's about $30, it's ridiculous.

if theres a movie i wanna see, i go to a theatre near my work, after work on a weekday, a few weeks after the movie comes out, the place is empty

saw dunkirk a few weeks ago and there was like 10-20 people in the whole place. great stuff

I've noticed that certain theatres have this type of thing happen more than others. I also saw the movie with a friend at a mall theatre, and it was just overcrowded with a bunch of young kids. About 20 minutes north of the mall theatre is a nicer one with leather seats etc but you pay a premium.

These pricier, but still reasonable, theatres weed out kids, and the problem you described usually doesn't happen.

Movie theaters are chit tear. Don't go unless you're trying to get laid.

Being in your own bed watching movies is infinitely better.

It's like a western tradition at this point. Cuck yourself paying for some chitty 12 dollar popcorn and garbage theater experience. Volume so high you need earplugs, sticky floors etc. And ya god help you if you go when it's crowded.
You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told you're a god or a total bastard. The iron always kicks you the real deal. It's the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. I have found it to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But 200 pounds is always 200 pounds.

Movies are 350% better when experienced in a theater. That said there is about 1/10 times where other people will ruin the experience with talking or crumpling food wrappers or using their phones, but it's pretty rare.
