Harvey dropped 11 TRILLION gallons of water on Houston. Lets see Miami take that; If Katrina would have dropped that much water on New Orleans it would have been ~30ft underwater (edit: I think the correct figure is >90Ft but I don't feel like doing the math). People are acting like Houston doesn't have a **** ton of bayous and streets designed to turn into canals. People shouldn't compare Harvey to Irma.

I'm glad it's nowhere near as bad as we thought it was going to be. Charlie ****ed SW FL up in 2004.

If you recall Florida got Katrina.

No real floods except the usual places that flood. Water went down after 2 days in places that flooded

St Pete brah here. Just woke up and still have power as of now. Very grateful this storm ended up dying down a lot by the time it got up here.

RIP to any Cubans that perished from the hurricane...If Cuba didn't exist...Fla would be getting fuked really hard right now. Not saying they didn't but that would've been a Cat 5 coming into the Keys, and Miami.

apparently whats happening is...

the northeastern side of the hurricane is the strongest
the outer bands of the storm are reaching the atlantic
and powering the northeastern storms

so some of the winds near jax are very strong

Thats what i said on the last page. Cuba fuked that storm up and wasnt even half the storm it looked like before it made landfall there. Half of FL wouldve been leveled right now if Cuba wasnt in the exact spot it is in right now. Its almost scary thinking about how strong that storm couldve gotten if it curved up as a 180 MPH Cat 5

It's a category 1 now. Still windy and rainy here, and looked like it picked up a bit, but nothing serious. Eh well. I'm just hoping power doesn't go out, would be annoying.

Yup the media hyped it up as category 4-5 and caused a mass exodus. When it hit land it was acutally more like category 2 at worst.
