Went there, ******* to the right of me and his girl were talkin through out the movie taking pics with flash on. *******s behind had their feet on my seat 3 times throughout the movie. Almost flipped **** and threw my drink on all of them

Not only this, but some insecure manlet was running his mouth about me to his girl, both giggling. Just looked at them and laughed. Not only this, literally every person I saw looked/seemed pretentious as fck.

Legit one of the worst movie experiences Ive ever had.

I pretty much stopped going to movie theaters about 5 years ago because of the disrespectful behavior of others.

The only annoyance in my local cinema is the sound of people opening chip or candy packets to eat.

Oh and the fact that there's no IMAX theaters in all of Australia any more, wish I could have seen Dunkirk in its true glory

I went and saw it today at an amc. And it was one of the most immersive experiences at a movie theatre, especially for a horror..

Most times there's always kids screaming. I went on a Sunday at 4:30 maybe that's why.
But also here in Denver, especially in the outskirts, there's a lot less urban youths.

When I use to live in Worcester mass... my experience with every horror movie at a theatre was exactly as you described. Kids screaming, mainly girls, and particularly urban youths that actually talk during the movie.

There's no movie theatre within 7 miles of the ghetto, so they all travel into the civilized section of town to ruin it for the rest of us.

I went to It on Saturday, one lady directly behind me made a few little comments throughout, but overall wasn't too bad.

But that Dolby Atmos is GOAT sound quality.

I have a 65" 4K with 2 big ass MartinLogan tower speaks for my 5.1 setup. It's overkill, but it's also incredible to watch a movie in bed like that. When all I do is spend time with my woman then I'd much rather the setup in there.

I have no idea how to get a high quality stream of brand new in-theater releases, so that's why I went to the movies

Mirin setup, I would never go if I was rocking that. Theater is my best option for good surround sound, although I thought the brightness of the projector was too high or something, the black parts of the movie were still illuminated know what I mean.

Still a good time though, theater mostly empty.

Sounds like you just went to a cheap theater in a ****ty area. Just find out the more expensive theaters in upscale locations and go there. Usually ratchet people won't pay the extra few dollars. It's totally worth it in my opinion considering I don't frequent movie theaters.

Edit: seems like I'm going to one of several to suggest this but it's probably the truth

It's the only way to go. Let's be real, the more expensive ticket basically stops everything you just complained about.
]This is the only way I'll go to the movies these days. I'll gladly pay more for a ticket to be around non-societal rejects.

That's usually why I have to wait a couple weeks after the movie is out. It's usually a couple people and myself when I go 2 weeks after release. If I go opening weekend it's straight up gonna be a chitty experience. So many stupid groups of teenagers these days that go in there just to talk and giggle and go on their phone. Usually when I tell them to be quiet it shuts them up temporarily but then they go back to be annoying dipshiets. I hate people who go to the damn movie and don't watch the actual movie...

Don't sit with the peasants. Buy a dbox seat. Plenty of leg room, seat far away from either side. Your own subwoofer to drown out the crying from the peanut gallery. Decent motion effects. Well worth the extra 4 bucks.

I really do wish they would allow you to purchase new movies from home. Of course it will come with a hefty fee of like $20 or so. You end up spending more going there. Though that would probably kill out all theaters.

This will be the future someday. I'd pay $20 to watch a movie at home. Hell, two tickets costs almost $20 or more. Factor in drinks/snacks and you're up near $35-40.....

I understand Kodi, but I'd rather watch a full 1080p or 4k stream than a CAM version. I use Terrarium TV on my phone then stream to TV, but they never have brand new releases out in HD. Every now and then you find a leaked screener.

I've never heard of a Drafthouse theatre, though. Sounds far better than typical theaters like The Grand. I was just trying to have a little date night with m'lady. So much for that

I stopped going to movies for a while a few years back and recently started going again and holy chit I can't believe how many people are on their phones through the whole movie. Snappchatting the through the entire movie, texting pictures and even worse... Last week I went to see Dunkirk and some people had their kids there watching fuking youtube on tablets through the whole movie. People just don't have respect for others anymore I guess. The world isn't going to end if all your friends don't know you went to the movies. If you have chit azz kids that can't behave through a movie then find a sitter or don't go, guess what that's called parenthood.
hard to hate on a fellow wings fan but....

i need to cut... badly.
