Actually people who are trying to loot are looking for a quick in quick out situation. Assuming your just lying in wait and you open fire on them as they approach you could probably kill two or three before they can really do anything, fight back or even retreat. If they do have guns they'll fire back at you blindly then retreat and hide for a bit. When they venture out again they'll go find an easier target.

Also if you live in an upscale area and/or a nice neighborhood chances of that will be minimalized. Most of the time those types of individuals will be targeting their own community and stores in the vicinity of where they live.

Uk brah here, whenever i visit family in the states they all have guns stashed to protect their way of life. When i return to the Uk im aloud to protect my way of life against a home invader with 'reasonable force' - meaning top much force can get me an assult and battery charge, manslaughter or even murder.

People think the UK is some sort of gun free paradise. It isn't. Fact is that regular joes like farmers need guns everywhere in the world. You simply cannot completely ban guns because they provide a much needed service to thousands of normal working people. But you can regulate them.

A lot of muslim terror attacks are committed by guys radicalized in poverty mosques or online. They are not necessarily part of some hard-core terror group that is logistically well equipped and trained (but sure, ISIS claims the "glory" of the attack anyways). So they make do with what they can find easily (vehicles). Using the last muslim truck attacks as an accurate representation of the penetration of illegal firearms in a society is bad methodology, at best. A simple google search of "illegal guns UK" brings up tons of hits with very high numbers (millions). Some of these sources are questionable, others are pretty decent. There is no doubt that there are plenty of guns in the UK, especially when legal ones alone already account for over 1 million according to the Home Office.

If that's the case then......why has there not been a Bataclan style massacre in the UK? There are plenty of ISIS members who fought in Syria who are back in the UK. If anyone can arrange weapons smuggling/racketing in Britain, it will be ISIS. Do you not think if guns were as easy to come by as you say that ISIS wouldn't be all over it?
