Unless you are going to have a big family I see that chit as a total waste. I want a nice size kitchen and bathroom other than that I don't give a fuk. To me it is just more space to fill with expensive furnishings and more crap I have to clean.

Around 6 years ago there was a property in Hobart that was $500,000 for 10 acres and had 2 houses on it. I wish I bought it. Being so close to Issaquah and Maple Valley its probably worth almost double now.

I got a place in Seattle earlier this year and I've seen a 20% jump in prices since the beginning of the summer. It's bat**** insane. I know a few Amazon guys in their late 20s who were looking at places but got blown out when the places they thought might go for $600k went for $800k.

Came in expecting some Detroit style dumpster. Those look aesthetic as fuk srs...
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Everything else is cheap, though. Doesn't stop all the middle class complaining, of course. Every couple of weeks there's an article in the paper about a full-time professional couple living in Bondi or Toorak complaining about the cost of childcare, "Why doesn't the government help us more?!"
It used to be,

Middle class
Upper class
now it's

How the hell do people afford housing these days?Looks like I am going to be an apartment dwelling pleb all my life. These families have to be clearing $300k+ a year. It sucks to be constantly reminded that you are poor . I should move to the midwest or some chit.
