Ex-classmates most have kids and they always talk about it(and I bet salivate at hot young girls while their wives are fat and ugly now)...

So am I missing a lot?
I can say confidently right now that I don't ever want them.

I'll be 26 soon and honestly I'd rather jump off a cliff than be a dad to some ungrateful little ****.

I'm not gifted with a $250K a year salary like most miscers either so it would financially destroy me. I'd be a horrible father, I'm selfish and don't have time for another person, not in that capacity anyway.

Everyone I know that has them and says how great they are is simply trying to justify it to themselves. They locked down the first chick that gave them the time of day and they're pretending it's the greatest thing that ever happened, meanwhile they are selling their motorcycles and snowmobiles because their bitch wife has convinced them they "don't need it anymore." They drive **** cars and work their asses off just to satisfy a woman who will weigh 300 pounds in 10 years, then they are really gonna be ****ed.

Meanwhile I just got a new truck, go shoot guns on the weekend, have a couple **** buddies several years younger than me, and can get drunk on a Wednesday if I choose to (and have off work). Yea, I'll take my lifestyle any day over the alternative.

She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

My boy is almost 1. IDGAF what anyone without a kid itt has to say.
Not because I'm an ******* and don't want to listen to someone's opinion, but because i remember what i thought having a kid would be like before i had him, and i was so wrong.
I could try, but i can't explain with words what this little guy means to me and how he makes me feel.

I have a kid who I like but if I went back in time I wouldnt have had any.

You're not missing out on anything by not having a kid but you'll definitely be missing out on time for yourself/money if you have one.

So don't.

Don't believe the propaganda. I have a kid its really not as fun as they hype it up; they really just want to make your life worse/convince you to conform to what they did.

Think of all the bad **** that can go wrong: you get a kid with some sort of physical/mental defect, your kids mom takes the kid/puts you on child support, your kid acts like a dumbass in the future etc.

How did it work out... and how do you feel about it? Please be 100% honest.
I never saw myself as a father, but I expectantly became one 4 years ago. I was terrified, and had no clue what I was doing. I was also a very selfish person, and prioritized my life, but the moment I saw my daughter I did a complete flip. I essentially live my life for her to be happy. Being a father somehow came naturally to me.

It's very hard, and mentally draining, but for me personally, it's worth it. I love being a father and sharing things with my kid.

I completely understand bros who want no part of it however. It is not for everyone. You need to put your life on the backburner for a long time. I see nothing wrong with someone who doesn't want kids. It's better to not have them, then do it and be a chitty/absent father.

Not sure what the hate is ITT about being selfish and prioritizing yourself above all. Must be a lot of people who don't like themselves ITT.

Yeah I see no issues with people who don't want kids and want to make their life priority. It all comes down to personality. Not everyone is capable of being a good parent. It's much better they don't be one at all.

Probably stems from statements like this:

Seems like some people are absolutely horrified to admit that having kids might actually work out for/be a good thing for others. So much hate and resentment. SMH

She's been desperate for a baby for the past 3 years or so. But I'm so indecisive on this it's ridiculous (and I know it's a dealbreaker) - I have a niece who I love spending time with... but part of me is glad when my sister picks her up if that makes sense.

It's such a chit feeling not knowing if you want a kid or not. Throw away a relationship with someone who you imagine spending the rest of your life with.... Or bring a baby into this world with the chance that you might completely regret it.
The biggest issue imo isn't the child itself, it's the relationship you have with the mother that will be a huge factor in how everything plays out, especially in the early years.

I love my son and family, and I'm still able to do the things I love, just less of it.

It sounds like you're in a very solid relationship, so you having a kid eventually will be much easier than Joe Creampie who knocked up some sloot at a college party, or someone he hates but didn't have the sense to pull out of.

Now kids definitely aren't for everyone, but I will say that you will never love anyone else like you love your kid.

Let's look at it rationally:

-Biological imperative/legacy is a bs argument imo, do you know the name of your grand parents let alone the names of your grand-grand parents? And that's only a couple of generations ago. Your biological footprint (DNA) will also be practically irrelevant after a couple of generations.

-Expensive as fck. Life in the west is more expensive than ever because goods you really need like housing has skyrocketed meanwhile wages have not followed. Starting a family as a young person today will cripple you financially. Respect to the people who manage.

-Say goodbye to freedom for atleast 18 years. You will become the slave of your kid. (Sure you may love your kid and wouldn't mind this, but that's an emotional argument)

-Are you mature enough? Mentally stable? How many kids grow up mentally fcked becaus of sh*t parenting?

-A home with a stable relationship is still the best place to raise your kids. Let's look at the stats, more than 50% end in divorce...so most kids today will not be raised in a normal stable environment.

-Let's look at the culture of today. Do you think we live in a good culture for raising kids? Degeneracy is rampant, consumerism and materialism are promoted 24/7, politics are more crazy than ever, the left and right are becoming more extreme.

-Most women who get kids today are older. What happens when older women get kids? Chances of defects, disorders rise strongely. So it's best you have kids with younger women, but good luck explaining this to her because she'll also want to be free when young.

-Probably grow up without any kind of religion/spirituality in their life. Hate or love it, this offers some kind of purpose or higher morality in life. Without religion a lot of people fall into nihilism and hedonism.

-Let's look at the future. Do you think your kid will grow up in a good world? (look at everything; economy, socially, culturally,...)

-"But who will take care of me when I'm old? Won't I be lonely?" Is an egotistical, selfish emotional argument. This doens't matter at all, the ONLY thing that matters is the future of your child, if you bring a new life in this world you should be thinking about giving it the best chances of survival,... (And even when you have kids, this is no guarantee they will take care of you or won't be lonely, enough examples in the real world. There are other solutions for this problem.)

-What do you have to offer your kid outside of financial support,... conventional parenting? Are you more than a 9-5 lemming living from paycheck to paycheck? Can you convey any sort of wisdom?

-Are you and your partner healthy? Do you have any heritable diseases, disorders? Putting a child with potential health issues into this world is diabolic imo.
