Man, Misc has such high standards for TV and I already have pretty high standards compared to the average TV viewer, to the point where I can't watch anything on regular TV anymore.

I just finished S2 and I really enjoyed it. Not sure if I liked it more or less than S1 since that's further in my memory so I can't accurately compare things.

Main criticism is that Eleven doesn't seem to do much this season and neither did Mike.

New Chad "Billy" brought the lulz, dude is like 80s Chad turned up to 11.

Enjoyed my boy Dustin too. Dude's got a potty mouth now and it's lulzy as fuk.

I do have to agree the kids curse way too much this time around. It's like they writers wanted to be more 'edgy'.

Season 2 was dope but not as good as season 1 to be expected, amazing still. If you just watch the first 2 episodes it not enough don't be slack jaw

I think season 1 was better. 2 reasons
- s1 felt like a natural show. This season felt like they doubled down on that 80s feel and overdid it.
- I was expecting some cool battle against the giant shadow monster. Instead he's in 1 or 2 episodes as an ominous figure and then just possesses a kid. I get that this is the "realistic" thing to do as eleven doesn't really have a change fighting the shadow monster in its full form and that having him possess the kid lowers the CGI costs a ton but still. The trailer made it seem like the show would go bigger on the "upside-down" concept and although it has shown more of it, it doesn't feel like we learned any more about it.

- the new chad was awesome though except at the final fight with the old chad where he got punched a few times and laughed it off. seemed try-hardy. other than that though? dude played it great

-ending dance was wholesome


my final rating: 7.5/10 (last season was a 9)

-Dialogue doesn't seem as age specific as before. Like Bob's car conversation with Will is like 2 adults talking with each other. I dunno, maybe the movie IT just got it so right this seems silly now. IT embraced that kids are awkward, don't know how to hold themselves, and don't have witty fast comebacks. Did the Gilmore Girls staff write this?
-I can't take the power ranger in the bad wig seriously. "I hear you used to run this school!" Da fuq?
-Kai Greene shows up in 1st scene, dear god please let no grapefruits be on set.
-Hopper acknowledges PTSD in Will but not in Eleven?

-Paul Reiser as a doctor is pretty spot on.
-Have literally had the post drunk argument with multiple girlfriends:
"You got mad at me because I drank too much-"
"No, I left after you called our entire relationship bullchit and that you don't love me."
"...I didn't say that."
-I feel like Chris Hansen is going to walk out of my kitchen every time Nancy is on screen. Kinda reminds me of a young Emmy Rossum.

Just finished episode 4. Season is pretty good so far. You can tell Netflix gave them way more money to use than season one

Also, Nancy's jaw game is strong
