this isdisgraceful
i'm incredibly jealous. I've been in crypto since 2013, and have not even made close to what these guys have made off bitconnect (BCC), the ponzi scheme
it's sad people are rolling in hundreds of thousands a month from a scheme, making more than just about anyone in this thread, wtf
this guy for example has made $1 mil in just a few months from loaning on bitconnect

That's how Ponzi's work. Some early people get rich, and the masses follow.
Don't invest in Ponzi's, it's also unethical.

At this point its not about technology anymore though really. People grilled Jamie Dimon on bitcoin, but I agree with him. You don't become the CEO of Chase bank by being a simp.

For everyone holding alts and heavy bags,
times are tough
but whatever you do, just dont sell at a loss.
Everything happens in cycles. These forks will soon be over. More money will pour into the market. People will jump back into the alts. These prices on everything will be a joke in 6 months looking back in hindsight.
No Weak Hands allowed.

Goal is to hold 20 coins eventually. Then just sit back and relax for a few years. Not worrying about anything. Just not even paying attention to the rumors/news/etc. Half way to my goal now and if there is a major correction/drop then I am going all in for another 10 coins.
Wish me luck bruhs. I will check back in 3 years (year 2020). See where this ride will take me. Still have a few eth coins but I don't think that is going anywhere. Still hold onto it just in case though.
I hope you guys all make it. Whether it is through the btc/eth or alts/icos. Learned a lot from this thread. Wish you all the best of luck.

Maybe I'll have 10+ coins someday if my Eth and/or alt investments outperform BTC. But I'm not gonna sink a chit tonne more cash into BTC.
Not really sure where Eth is going from here though.

Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Depending on how btc shakes out after this fork, I will be done for a while. It is definitely fun reading up on rumors/news and looking up prices but it is a time sink and also stressful. Just gonna keep hoarding btc as it dips until I reach my magic number of ~20. Then I am out for good.

Btc/eth seemed like a good bet at the time. Btc is paying off already. I try not to get sucked into the hype with predictions. Reading all these articles and people proclaiming it will surge past 20k, 30k, 50k, etc in 5 years. Wishful thinking. Would be nice but I am not banking on it.
Even a 2-3x return would be good enough for me. But I know I am preaching to the wrong choir here where everyone is heavily into alts and icos and want 100x returns.

I would like to hold 10 BTC (in total value), but I'd need Eth to outperform BTC for a while to get there - right now my BTC value is dropping while $ is staying steady. My goal for the forks was to have my $ remain steady, because I didn't wanna jump into BTC and then try time it perfectly to get back out to catch alt gains.

Not sure what I'll do for the upcoming fork, but here is what I think would've been the optimal path for gains:
-at fork hold alts for the initial pump
-jump into btc while it's down
-hold btc while alts pulled back
-jump back into alts for second wave the next day
-move back to btc
Might do this or just move to tether.
