I never said TA wasn't good in crypto. All I said was I don't trade with it anymore.

Reason being is that multiple big accounts can influence a chart. When you have a paid group (or 2, 3, 4) looking at the same chart and seeing a rising wedge forming, it's easy to order everyone to buy in and then when price breaks resistance for 30 seconds and everyone reacts how they normally should (buy), the groups dump. Not worth it to me anymore. I buy based off of support and resistance lines now and stay away from MACD, Stoch, Ichi, EMAs, etc.

More power to you - there's a million ways to trade, I've found one that minimizes my losses.

yeah u cant just go based off of TA, otherwise there would be nice AI bots doing trades all day long

TA is just a good indicator on coins u know and researched.

U use FIB lines?

I'm honestly just contemplating leaving it in for a few months and just see what happens. As far as I'm concerned the moneys gone and I only got 400 coins so I'm going to let it ride for a few months. If I managed to get my original amount of coins I wanted in I was going to withdraw 70% and let the rest ride. Oh well.

Nope. I used to, especially when I traded FX.

My favorite indicators when I was using TA were 13 EMA and Stoch RSI. The thing is crypto moves video game fast so if you're trading alts you really have to be on your fukking A game if you're trading on the 1m & 5m charts.

The only indicator I use now is volume. And the deepest I go into TA anymore is trend lines & support/resistance lines. That's it. Haha

So from what I've read, if Parity cannot fix the issue the only way to recover the $300mm in funds is by forking ETH. I can see this being a huge blow to crypto, fork or no fork.

Blow to just ETH or to the whole community. That's the question. Hopefully just Eth.

So, if you just lost a bunch of eth because of a security issue what would you do? I'd most likely get anything else out of Eth and try to make it back somewhere else.

Well if they don't fix and recover, you can just imagine headlines such as "$300mm in investor funds lost in crypto". Would hurt the entire market imo.

i mean even with the fork. if btc tanks and causes alts to tank as well. people getting in now would not only lose money literally, but all the figurative money they could have made at cheaper prices would be different

with how many coins are in circulation and its marketcap, i can see that being quite a while for cardano. even though, off of the top of my head, it appeared out of nowhere and it established itself where it is now

easier money could be made at lower marketcaps

Well if ETH does do a hard fork to recover the funds, then I would say ETH would take the hit and not the entire market. If the funds aren't recovered then yeah, that would give a lot of ammo to the FUDsters

For a little while, like most FUD - more buying opportunities.

This isn't Parity's first major bug. The devs made some schoolboy mistakes the last exploit - I haven't read the details on this one yet. In a perfect world, it should only hurt Parity.

Really liking Gemini so far. Their website is very user friendly and their support is good. They send security messages for every action and their emails are concise and well written etc.
I like gemini for the most part and it's layout. Though I don't like that I emailed them about bitcoin gold and never heard back and haven't seen anything about them giving us bitcoin gold for holding on their exchange. Now we have B2X fork coming up and i have a feeling they won't be giving their customers that fork either.

I think I like Binance the most right now, but Kucoin seems to be getting some good alt coin listings and they already announced they will give B2X to their customers. Now if only they could get larger volume.

They wont hardfork into a 3rd chain. More than likely they are just going to add a fix into the next planned hardfork. The addresses are still there, and the ethereum is locked up and can never move in or out. This is not the same as the DAO hack, and will probably have little impact. The only real impact will probably be some FUD spread by bitcoin holders. Parity is done though. I don't think they will recover from two multi million dollar fuk ups.

I for one hope they don't fix the ****up.

I mean where do they draw the line? Suppose I make a smart contract holding a few thousand dollars. I **** up the code and lock myself out. Can I ask Vitalik to bail me out?
That's bull****, they should let them think twice about their code before bailing them out yet again.
