Alcohol, cigarettes, good tasting but unhealthy food, family, friends. The simple things really. Id also off myself in their position. Maybe they have kids tho that they want to watch grow into successful people.

She has no money. They don't REALLY want her there. It's more out of pity. They fight a lot. She hates life because she relies on others to live and has no aspirations or goals. It's a horrible existence and it's been a shining beacon to me how not to live my life. I always LOL when people on here say I have white privilege, too. Yeah I sure do love that rich privilege I came from.

I hear that. Makes me sad. I want so much and no matter how well I've ever done, it's not enough. To quote a great man...

Most people believe they must:

· First have something (e.g., money, time, or love)
· Before they can do what they want to do (e.g., travel the world, write a book, start a business, or have a romantic relationship)
· Which will ultimately allow them to be something (e.g., happy, peaceful, content, motivated, or in love).

Paradoxically, this have — do — be paradigm must actually be reversed to experience happiness, success, or anything else you desire.
· First you be whatever it is you want to be (e.g., happy, compassionate, peaceful, wise, or loving)
· Then you start doing things from this space of being.
· Almost immediately, what you are doing will bring about the things you want to have.

We attract into our lives what we are. This concept is confirmed by loads of psychological research. In his popular TED talk, Harvard psychologist Shawn Achor explains that most have happiness backwards. They believe they must first achieve or acquire something to be happy. The science shows that happiness facilities success.

Being in america doing a poverty job, being fat, and ugly is a blessing to some

Imagine being born and raised in Iraq, Africa, or some fukd up country where you have to worry about bombs/shootings every day in your neighborhood or your mom, sister, daughters getting raped when they go outside

Life is about perspective, just because yours is skewed on material and physical chit doesn't mean theirs are...some people are happy with just stability and security

I'm surprised I've never come across that quote before, but it really resonated with me when I read it. I have a GREAT life, but it always seems to be missing something that I can't put my finger on.

They use sugar, caffeine, tobacco, alcohol, pharmaceuticals and narcotics to achieve brain endorphin releases winning people get from success and hot sex.

Also most people pick one avenue in life

- best body
- best money earning
- best personality, social life and hobbies

Very very very few people kick ass in all three areas.

most refugees that come here from the middle east ****in hate it because it's actually harder to "live" here. i worked closely with refugees for about 8 months and became good friends. all of them had better jobs, made more money, and had better life satisfaction over there. free college/university, everyone has nice jobs, cheap rent, no need to pay car insurance, etc. they were actually happier living there, rather than working some chit job over here. i think a lot of them would change their minds and just stay over there if they knew how chitty working poverty jobs is over here beforehand.

africa is fuked up though
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

You act like offing yourself is some easy task. Fact is, all living things have a strong bias and instinct to live, and everyone is addicted to life. Even those with tougher lives will cling to anything to find meaning and relief.

And besides, not everyone wants Ceo 10k a day in order to be happy. Theres more to happiness than job and looks.

Most refugees that come over here are educated and prominent people in their society before they left

I was referring to war torn countries where security and life isnt guaranteed

Very true, depression can affect literally anyone. And I think that's the most important clue regarding suicide. So regarding OP, I think broke, fat, ugly, people live their life like mostly everyone else. Maybe they are not quite as happy all the time, but that doesn't mean that they are automatically depressed and contemplating suicide just because they are dealt a tougher hand. Just like people in third Worlds aren't automatically offing themselves just because of tougher conditions.
