I have $8,000 invested in Bitcoin, $12,000 in Ripple, $5,000 in LTC, $6,000 in BAT, $4,000 in CVC, $6,500 in FUN, and $4,000 in NXS.

I have the most confidence in BTC and XRP to make me crazy money in the next couple of years.

Exactly. People in the financial industry are still saying "yeah, I heard Bitcoin is pretty popular these days" phase. 130bn market cap is preposterously low.

What happens when governments start feeling the heat and ban exchanges, using the fact that it's impossible to tax as a reason?

When businesses start buying and selling using Bitcoin, on a big enough scale, governments will act. Why wouldn't they? There are zero positives (for them) to allow another form of currency to exist.

You're late to the game, brah. Government already has its hands in the jar. The US-based exchanges fully comply with federal law. This stuff is taxable now, and operates the same as trading on the stock market.

What are my options? Coinbase closed my account because Hawaii made Bitcoin illegal, but address and bank are in that state =[ Same story with other exchanges I use to buy BTC with cash with too.

Localbitcoins can't be the only option. What happens when I want to sell

Yes, but not all are currencies. There are 100's of altcoins that function as just tokens for other processes such as smart contracts and AI programs.

To be honest, Bitcoin is pretty damn slow as a currency compared to newer tech. It just has brand recognition.

But companies have already adopted it. You can buy things on overstock.com with Bitcoins now. The days of handing cash over to a cashier when buying something are definitely numbered.
