Have a gander at overstock.com stock price and find on the chart where they adopted Bitcoin.

People you DON'T NEED TO BUY ONE WHOLE BITCOIN to get in the game. Once this becomes common knowledge we should have another pump wave.

I'm dropping 10k on btc soon. Better investment than a CD, or INDEX ROTH at this point.
I buy btc everyday 100 usd at a time for my business.

What happens when governments start feeling the heat and ban exchanges, using the fact that it's impossible to tax as a reason?
When businesses start buying and selling using Bitcoin, on a big enough scale, governments will act. Why wouldn't they? There are zero positives (for them) to allow another form of currency to exist.

Currently, wire transfers take about 3-5 days to complete. XRP is reducing that time to 3-5 seconds.
No doubt about it. Once this takes off, it'll be moon time. It only has a 9bn market cap, which is peanuts. American Express just signed up with them, too.

What are my options? Coinbase closed my account because Hawaii made Bitcoin illegal, but address and bank are in that state =[ Same story with other exchanges I use to buy BTC with cash with too.

Most people seem to be buying with the assumption that it's 'the future', as in using it to buy and sell chit, taking over from FIAT currency.
Is this correct?

I'm not making the argument that bitcoins are retarded or aren't a good investment/potential currency, just stating that you shouldn't start off with something that is blatantly false. Gold is a great currency, which is why it was used through almost all of human history.

But companies have already adopted it. You can buy things on overstock.com with Bitcoins now. The days of handing cash over to a cashier when buying something are definitely numbered.
