Saving Private Ryan - one of the GOAT war movie, if not the GOAT war movie. The Dday invasion on the big screen was incredible.
Avatar - not the greatest movie but visually it was outstanding in IMAX 3D. I usually hate 3D movies but this one was the exception.
Didn't see saving private ryan in theatres, but when I finally did see it at home, it blew my mind srs. I can't imagine having seen that on a big screen with surround sound, I probably would've joined the army lol

Interstellar, Prometheus, Guardians of the Galaxy volume 1 and Thor Ragnarok. Space movies and futuristic moves always are the best for me. Interstellar is my #1 favourite of all time, have watched it at least a dozen times.

Back on Topic:

Black Hawk Down or Dark Knight were probably my best experience. DK because it was so epic, and BHD because of how insanely intense that movie was for nearly the whole duration.

Agreed on interstellar. Some of my others...


Gladiator- I was 12 or 13 and in complete awe. The fighting, the acting, the music, the story. Must have thought about it for a week straight after seeing it.


Inception- Didn't know much about the plot going into it. Got talked into going to midnight release. Was completely enthralled within 5 mins.


Borat- Hardest I have ever laughed in a theater. Literally struggled to breathe and the entire audience was in tears at the naked fight scene.


Casino Royale- Loved it from the opening scene onward. Favorite Bond movie ever.
I call it "Celebration". It's sexual, and violent...

wtf do I gotta rewatch Last of the Mohicans? I was fukking nuts about DDL after watching There will be Blood, and I decided to start watching all his classics, so I pop in LOTM, and it did almost nothing for me. And I love historical epics, old world swordfighting, war movies (Braveheart, Gladiator, 300, Troy, Apocalyto). So what did I miss about this movie? I guess it didn't help that I watched with the window AC on and I could barely hear what anybody was saying. I remember watching "Memento" after hearing all this greatness about it, and it went right over my fukking head, but then again, half the movie I had a fan pointing towards me and I was annoyed as fuk being hot and sweaty, focused on wiping the sweat off my forehead every 2 minutes.

When I went to my old neighborhood wank store and watched Backdoor Sloots 7 when it first came out. Just a man and a booth. Although it got awkward when the guy came in to mop up before I finished.

It's a story I'll tell my grand kids one day.

Ate about an eighth of shrooms and went to see In Bruges.

In general, that movie is incredible. Good story, great acting, music, etc. Darkly hilarious.

Any way ... I left the theatre with practically the entire movie memorized line for line. To this day its my favorite flick.

We've all seen the gifs. Tripping nicely and seeing this crazy plot unfold. Brendan Gleeson's face alone just lmao.

Epic movie.

Magic Mike XXL. Best movie I've ever been to. Had nothing to do with the actual film, tho, since I can't say I remember much about it. But the girl I was with was very excited by the movie, and I benefited from that. Twice.

My most memorable movie theater experience was Pearl Harbor, in 2001. The movie itself was so-so, but watching it while visiting Hawaii (Honolulu) at the time really changed the movie experience for me.

Between visiting the USS Arizona memorial site and seeing bullet-holes (from the Japanese fighters) in buildings while traveling the air base, it made the movie experience feel more personal.
Imagine you're trying to jam your pork sword into some braindead sorostitute's meat wallet that night. You think you can just walk away from that?

In recent years, Interstellar was pretty amazing. I do also remember getting to see a screening of The Shining and enjoying myself quite a lot.

Every first friday of every month the natural history museum in my town does a fractal show with local musicians in their imax theater and its absolutely amazing. By far beats any movie in a movie theater experience.
hard to hate on a fellow wings fan but....

Never saw Pearl Harbor in theaters, but I felt that movie got alot of flak for no reason, I really enjoyed it, and Kate Beckinsale was hnngnggggg. Ppl really hated Ben Affleck at the time for some reason, I think they was jelly cause he was smashing prime J-Lo. I know its really cheesy and cliche, and war epics are supposed to beserious, accurate, no laughs, no handsome actors, historically accurate for the snobby stuff criticsbut fuk it, I enjoy explosions, hot girls, generic plots and Hollywood blockbusters every once in a while.

Jurassic Park as a kid. Absolutely mind blowing for that time. Also got an amazing blow job during a movie called See No Evil since the movie theater was empty. Would recommend.

If you saw Avatar in IMAX 3D and you are not saying it in this thread, you're a fuking liar. Whatever you want to say about the actual movie/storyline, whatever, but you can't deny that seeing it in IMAX 3D was not the greatest theatrical experience of your life. I also was really high when I saw it so that might have helped...

Lord of the rings: The Two Towers.

I went with some friends to watch it in theaters for ones birthday. HO LE FUK easily the beast movie i have seen. it was amazing.
