lmao I actually watched the whole thing, I love it when people are just real and straight to the point. His delivery was on point too, especially the bit where he's explaining how Luke looks like a "fake" badass and then dies, I literally died laughing. I gotta see this movie, just to see how bad it is, I feel like that'll make it entertaining itself.

Saw TLJ last night. Despite all these "cuckfest" accusations I went in with an open mind and a chit ton of faith in Rian Johnson to deliver. I'm being 100% honest after evaluating my thoughts and watching some parts a second time online. This is theWORSTSW film to date.

What I DIDN'T like:

1. Too much attempted comedy sprinkled throughout the entire film
2. Prequel-tier corniness
---a) People in the theater were laughing during theserious part ofRey's meditation scene, because Luke looked like some creepy old guy in the background, and probably because Rey's delivery wasn't convincing
---b) Kylo appearing shirtless out of nowhere
---c) Luke dusting his shoulder off
3. Poe, the best pilot the universe has ever seen, being turned into a pretentious pup by a chit character we've never seen before with purple hair (Amilyn Holdo) and Leia.
4. Holdo's plot twist of going from apparently an uninformed commander that the audience disliked to the ultimate hero
5. ALL OF Canto Blight. It was a completely forgettable and ultimately worthless section of the movie, considering DJ just vanishes into the bad-guy ether. The animals also creeped me tf out
6. Some cheesy CGI or camerawork, mainly when Kylo and Luke faced off. Also when Poe did that slide move into the trench
7. Hux's over-exaggerated British accent. Made him sound like a Sunday morning cartoon villain
8. Rose/Finn romance was out of nowhere. My theater broke into ironic laughter
9. Luke's "death"
10. The rate at which Rey became proficient with a lightsaber
11. Maz Kanata's scene was just silly and pointless

What I DID like:

1. I hated Snoke in TFA, but this movie did him far more justice, even though he dies shortly after
2. The Rey/Kylo/Royal Trooper scene was pretty good
3. Phasma vs Finn was cool, though not sure Finn should have bested her
4. The First Order fleet looked terrifying
5. Some of the comedy did hit well
6. Leia's space-witch scene, which I can understand if some didn't like
7. The Millennium Falcon, nuff said

This movie did not seem to have clear purpose and flow, nor did it have the landmark memorable moments that truly make SW films, or the major moments were sabotaged by poor cinematography or jokes. People say there was SJW crap. Maybe a little with Holdo and Leia checking Poe and being the ultimate heroes. IMO it was just pointless messages: Canto Blight being a cess pool because it has rich people, rich people using kids and animals for their entertainment, the obvious increase in diversity among the cast, etc.

The trailer got me so amped that TLJ would deliver as a perilous, dark episode, where we saw Kylo fall completely into the dark side by abandoning his past. That would have really salvaged Kylo Ren as a villain and it doesn't feel like he did that (he hesitated in shooting Leia, was deceived by Rey). The comedy also overshadowed the dark theme, and there were corny moments that completely took me out of it. They also could have made better use of their priceless assets that come with a franchise spanning decades (and in a non-fan-service way). The only time they did it was with R2 showing Leia's old message.

TL;DR - The movie's corniness and pointless scenes ruined what could have been a great movie. The prequels were better and there was very little to remember from TLJ. It sounds like Mark Hamil was justified in his criticism of the direction of this movie.This is another sentiment I'm seeing in social media. The Legends EU > New Canon. After giving Disney the benefit of the doubt I have to say I agree, except for the more ridiculous EU things, like Palpatine destroying fleets by sending Force Lightning through space.

To be fair on this point, they always had open space docking ports that had invisible shields over them. There is obviously gravity in the ship. Once the bombs started rolling off the rack INSIDE the gravity of the ship, they would continue their forward momentum.

I feel we were misled to the maximum in the trailers - they set it up like Luke was going to train Rey in the Force. Instead Luke is just a recluse and walks up and down mountains.
