I honestly don't even remember the fat Asian chicks name in the movie (it was that forgettable and bad). TOR story is god-tier. Hilarious how a vidya game can outperform a feature length film.

I'm hoping TLJ can grow on me like the prequels, because as it stands, every single prequel was better than this movie, because both TLJ and prequels had their super corny moments, but the prequels all had classic star wars moments, better saber duels, better space fights, better heroes & villains, more political drama, superior character development, and also a clear purpose and story path.

I've seen a few female reviewers say (out of shock/interest) that they noticed a significant difference in the amount of female protagonists/characters in general.

It really isn't alt-right paranoia either, Kathleen Kennedy explicity stated that Star Wars would be made to be more diverse. Which is just a ridiculous declaration to make.

As a minority American, I get absolutely ZERO from minorities being force placed into films. I want them to perform well as actors and for their arc to make sense. If you actually care about this superficial chit like are there enough asians in your sci-fi fantasy film: you are shallow, short-sighted, and maybe a sociopath.

finn has so much potential being an ex stormtrooper. He should be decked up in fukn armor, with tons go guns. if he was similar to commander rex without the helmet would have been pretty cool. I could imagine a subplot, where he needs to find gear so he has to infiltrate a secret base that has prototype armor, he meets captain phasma, he steals the armor, and they have a final duel or some chit. or he recruits other stormtroopers his brothers to join the rebels and he gets his own squad.

because he's a man. Somewhere along the movie production they doubled down and decided straight up that every protagonist in the movie leading has to absolutely be a woman, expect him to keep being comedic relief or come back as a transgender next movie.

They are never going to make a "dark and edgy" Star Wars (or Hard PG-13). After TLJ, is plainly clear that they'd rather pander to kids and audiences that simply want to watch an "action" movie and not a Star Wars movie. They don't care about the fans because they know they have them in their back pocket and they'll go watch anything with a Star Wars name stamped on it.
