It's sad that people on this forum and reddit can come up with better plot lines during a 5 minute chitter break than these so called artist in hollywood that got to fumble around with it for a few years.

You mean you want Rey from episodes 7 and 8. She's already the strongest Jedi in history, not sure what else you expect.

I did enjoy the visuals. It was the only good thing about the movie (along with sound).

Sith always have yellow eyes. As soon as Anakin turned, so did his eyes as well. I'm pretty sure it's been explicitly stated that the Sith died off with Palpatine. A sith is a dark side user who adheres to the Sith teachings.

The yellow eyes thing is inconsistently used IMO. Count Dooku didn't have yellow eyes, Palpatine didn't have yellow eyes until after the Mace Windu fight, Snoke doesn't have them despite clearly being aligned to the dark side. Some people claim Sith can hide them.....some people say it depends how dark side you are.....blah blah.

I know there's plenty of EU stuff that can cover the plot-holes, but in the context of the saga films, there's very little difference between Sidious/Vader and Snoke/Kylo. Kylo may seem redeemable but it's not confirmed.

this is what bothered me about kylo. when a force user becomes attuned with the force, something as emotionally charged (killing your own loved one) opens up the dark side of the force and you aqcuire the yellow eyes

your right about dooku but he (imo) was never immersed with the dark side of the force. sure, he used the force in ways that was against the jedi teachings and followed the sith doctrin but he never fully awakened it.

maul and vader were so consumed with rage that the dark side of the force took over and they were able to get the yellow eyes. dooku was powerful but had restraint and did not let the rage fully consume him.

This movie sucked and I bet Harrison Ford is even happier now about being killed of in the last one, so he couldn't be part of this sh$t show.

Leia and the purple haired hag dressed up for some kind of freaky Vanilla Sky dinner party. Uh, you know you're at war, right?

Luke is just as emo as Kylo. He looks like he's about to burst into tears in every scene (probably because mark Hamill couldn't stand the lines he had to say).

Rey is super powerful because kylo is. Bullchit!

Not buying your books, games or cartoon to find out about Snoke. Fark off.

Rey's parent are nobodies because anybody can be a Jedi. Yeah, this has always been true.

It's a shame their technology isn't advanced enough to have auto pilots or remote control ships.

Why not have drone ships destroy other ships by hitting them at lightspeed?

Super cool hacker dude sitting in prison when he could just leave anytime he wants.

Maz: theres only one guy in the universe who can hack what you need. Randomly meets another guy in prison who can do it too.

The only way the next movie could be worse is if R2 pulls out his spinning computer hacker plug thing and rams it in C3PO's rear port. Maybe we'll find out why the call him "golden rod", lol. Or maybe Chewie will be stuffing Porgs up his butt like Richard Gear. Buncha farking chit.

Edit: Forgot to add that all of these critics saying the loved it are just sucking the green milk out of Disney's fat teats. This will only get worse as they buy up more franchises.

For guy's interested in the distinction of sith and dark force users, why dooku didn't have sith eyes, etc. I suggest watching a fuk ton of "Star Wars Theory" on YouTube. It has explanations for everything, seeing from mostly verifiable sources like the comics and other parts of SW lore. Whoever runs the channel also gets insider emails that have been accurate.

Part of why I was so hyped for this film was Kylo's line in the trailer: "Let the past die, kill it."

I thought he was going to go from Emo to this descent into pure evil but I didn't get it. You're right that a major loss like that is supposed to compel them towards the dark side and it didn't.

"Let the past die, kill it." is exactly what Disney is all about with their version of Star Wars. They are killing it and replacing it with some SJW garbage.

Wtf? Luke Skywalker most bad assed jedi of all time keels over from space aids in his 50s? That's how he goes out?

Not only was the movie incredibly stupid but it pretty much ruined all 3 star from the OG trilogy. Leias last movie should have been RotJ where we could remember her in the slave girl bikini. Not some frumpy old drugged addled tart who slurs all her lines.

Han should have refused the money his death was dumb too. But not nearly as bad as Luke.

Jesus Christ he's in his 50s not his 90s. And he's just gonna keel over like that? How fcuking dumber could they make that?

this movie made him more emo. bugs me that he's chasing after his grandfather's legacy but cant get out of the sissy teenager tantrum faze. darth vader had this hair tingling mystique to him; the 5 minutes of film time in rogue one delivered what everyone wanted to see in vader, pure savageness.

i'm so lost on kylo though.... i mean he was able to stop a fukcing lazer blast in mid air in the force awakens. he's obviously powerful in the force but got tooled around by guards and an untrained ray.

Zero chance there will ever be a Disney movie about anything related to Bane. That would be a complete 180 from TFA, RO, and TLJ.

Last Jedi Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score Is Fake News

Disney's Star Wars: The Last Jedi opened to theaters over the weekend after 2 years of waiting, speculating, and fan theories. Director Rian Johnson took everything that fans though that they knew about Star Wars and turned it upside down, throwing in surprises and plot twists that took many fans over the edge. Many hardcore fans were disappointed in a lot of the risks that Johnson took, but critics overwhelmingly praised the movie as did a lot of the fan base. However, a quick glance at the Rotten Tomatoes user score shows something much different than what is shown in the Cinemascore rating. Further evidence suggests that some internet trolls have made "burner" accounts to trash The Last Jedi.

It's inevitable, a new Star Wars movie comes out and it's polarizing amongst fans who will argue their point until they're blue in the face. Rotten Tomatoes currently has The Last Jedi with a 93% Fresh rating with a 56% User Score. The numbers do look fishy, especially when you take the Cinemascore rating into consideration. Cinemascore takes in-person opinion surveys from audiences exiting theaters at the conclusion of movies in an effort to get a realistic audience score. The Cinemascore "A" rating would imply that real-life audience opinion is much more in line with the critics than the online User Scores, suggesting that something may be off with the ratings over at Rotten Tomatoes User's section.

It's 2017 and troll culture is very much a part of everyday life on the internet, but nowhere is that more apparent than the infamous website 4chan. Anonymous users on the forum-like site have admitted to making multiple "burner" accounts to give The Last Jedi a bad score on Rotten Tomatoes in an effort to anger Star Wars fans. One user said that he/she had over a dozen accounts specifically to trash The Last Jedi, which apparently is really easy to do and only takes a few minutes. However, to write a few bad reviews takes some more time and really shows the effort in the mission to tear down the movie.

Some of the reviews have even been credited to bots, which further politicizes the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, much like the last United States election. Reviews for The Last Jedi tend to use some of the same rhetoric as Trump supporters including such phrases as "Social Justice Warrior" and "forced diversity" along with some more that aren't appropriate to write. It's fun to hate on the popular things, but the internet trolls of 2017 may have just raised the bar up a few notches and into a perverse art form.

One thing that remains to be true is that The Last Jedi is a polarizing movie in the Star Wars universe. Many fans support Rian Johnson's ability to take risks and make a Star Wars movie that nobody has ever seen as opposed to J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens, which was criticized for being too much like A New Hope. While several fans flat out hate the movie, and blame Johnson and Disney for ruining the franchise. Whatever the case may be, the User Score at Rotten Tomatoes may have some fake news thrown in. You can read some of the user reviews via Rotten Tomatoes.

Yeah there was some line he screamed at Luke that was so cringe. And other little things like the way he ignites his saber. He did it the same way as TFA where he hunches over, but i thought he was just injured in that scene...

If I had to describe the movie in a word: chintzy.

It's up in the air whether the next trilogy will take place in any proximity to Episode 7-9, so it's possible.

Yeah you guys are right. Kylo was first shown as this really troubled/conflicted kid and for me, the culmination of his entire journey was the point where he decided to kill his father. To me, that was the point where anyone with half a brain would think: okay, he made this huge monumental decision to kill his own father, at this point he's decided his fate is sealed with the dark side.

Brb TLJ starts and Kylo's about to cry like a little bitcch as he gets yelled at by Snoke for being a pussy. Like what the fuk man? So nothing changed in him? He just went back to being conflicted? This was the perfect opportunity to set him up as a badass, especially since they were planning to kill Snoke off.

So let's see, who are the major players for the next movie? Han is dead, Luke is dead, Leia is pretty much dead. Phasma is dead, Hux(sp?) is not an imposing general who is also powerful and despises Kylo and Rey, he's just a goofball. Kylo is even a bigger bitch than ever before. He's super pissed and uncoordinated as fuk.

Meanwhile on the good side we have Finn who's character arc went to ass, and Poe who runs head first into everything like a dipshiit. Rey is as flat as a character can possibly get plus she's bested the main antagonist twice already. Beating him again is literally nothing new, fukkin YAWN.

At this stage I'd be more interested in watching a documentary on the space cows and what makes their milk green. Or the cleaners that washed Luke's bedsheets and wiped his arsehole because they seem to be more interesting than any human characters in this film

A former Combat/Infantry/501st Legion StormTrooper that had enough would have been super dope, but nah. We get a ****ing trashman black guy to laugh at.

People are often unreliable when you poll them in person, especially if they perceive that you will not approve of their opinion. We frequently see this in exit polls during elections. I'm also sure none of those critics were paid off by Disney. Curiously, the people peddling the movie is actually great, it's just 4-chan hating it conspiracy theories don't address professional critics being in Disney's pocket.

And of course, it's totally unreasonable for a Star Wars fan to be disappointed in a movie that had Luke Skywalker acting out of character, get bested by a novice he'd barely trained, and to ultimately die from the exhaustion of astral projection.
Thus, a good man, though a slave, is free; but a wicked man, though a king, is a slave. For he serves, not one man alone, but what is worse, as many masters as he has vices. - Saint Augustine

brb the space penguin thingies are only in the movie to make some ham-fisted point about the horror of eating meat

I thought it was too much to the right.

The fanboy crowd need to get over it and accept the fact that people left the theaters frustrated, confused, or angry. They're coping so hard saying you should watch the movie 2 or 3 more times and do all these gymnastics to reconcile things you didn't like.

But if you liked the movie you're allowed to circle jerk and sing it's praises non-stop? Fuk that.

Lmao, trying to make Rotten Tomatoes paid shill reviewers relevant. What's next, somebody will care about twitter?

There were 2 Disney SW movies already, TFA was mostly liked, being a rehash of A New Hope with Disney characters - but still ok -, then we had Rogue One which just shat upon TFA and at least 1,5 prequels and somehow now, after the third movie, it's just trolls.
