Booyah, Mrs B hit the sack early, still sick.
10 minutes in, and having a whiskey coke. Let's see what's up with this movie.

Just watched it. 7/10 because it was entertaining. Thought the ending could have been a bit better but can't complain
Also wondering how netflix makes profit from investing so much into a movie???

If you're on the fence about seeing a movie on Netflix you think "I'll just start it, and if it sucks I'll watch something else." You haven't committed $15 and 2 hours like seeing something in the theater. 2 clicks of the remote and you're on to another piece of content.
But the point of big budget movies like this is (presumably, since this isn't the sort of film aimed at winning Oscars) to either attract new subscribers, or improve existing subscribers value perception. So how do think critical reviews will impact that?

Nevertheless, where there's violence and gun first it seem like it would a perfect fit for this venue. Then again, maybe they didn't include the multi tentacled alien female to peck interest? Gotta watch it tonight.

Not great but I enjoyed it. Curious to see how the sequel goes and if they expand on the backstory of the races.

6/10. It's a movie that feels like it's direct to Netflix. It isn't bad but you can tell it doesn't ever hit full stride for one reason or another. Did this really cost 90 million dollars? Seemed like they were using the same locations quite a bit. So there's a sequel? Makes sense since this felt like an episode more than a standalone movie.
