The last 12 girls I smashed going back to december of last year, and their age at the time/random thoughts about em

23yo - Was all about that social media lifestyle. So I just couldn't get into the conversations about ******** this, twitter that, likes this, follows that

19yo - Was all about that struggling artist lifestyle. So I couldn't get into the conversations about musicals, and shows, and dancing, and struggling to pay the bills

23yo - Very chill stoner. We barely talked, very superficial conversation. Within 1 hour of meeting her at the restaurant, she was drinking out of my glass

25yo - Talked too much about a whole lot of nothing. So I couldn't get into the conversations. Also spent alot of the night dancing and making out, and not talking

24yo - Decent conversations. Talked about work, hobbies, upbringings

29yo - First night had awesome talk about sports, music. Then second date she's interrogating about my work and family and stuff

22yo - Decent conversations. Talked about work and hobbies

21yo - Awesome conversations. Talked about some deep stuff like upbringing, but also kept it light by cracking jokes and being cheeky

22yo - Pretty bad conversations. Talked about her school stuff and my work stuff

24yo - Awesome conversations. We were cracking jokes and mixing in some flirty stuff. Also she was very direct

29yo - Decent conversation. Was chitty at first bc she went on and on about herself, but then we got more drunk and started talking deep stuff like dreams and aspirations. Second time we met, downhill fast, it was all about her problems

23yo - Intellectual. Kind of all over the place, but in a good way

Weirdly, both over 29 women were cool the first time, but not so cool the 2nd time; whereas with the younger girls, what you see is basically what you get

25 was rough for me too! I haven't dreaded a bday like I did 25. You are looking fabulous womane, totally rocking the 50's!

Literally the same arguments you've just made, are the same objections I've read in the book, it's actually uncanny.

From what it sounds like you tried to go beyond the 'spark test' only once.

Also if those very pretty girl's in their 20s and 30s can't find a man who they have something in common with, and are attracted to, then their standards are probably way too high. Lori talks about 'the list' in the book, and the petty reasons that women no longer date men.(In an article she spoke about a married friend who was telling her a story about a conversation she was having with a single friend. The married friend was complaining about her husband leaving his worn socks around the house, and the single friend said that she was seriously dump a guy who had that habit. Her married friend realized that was why she was - unhappily - single, connection and companionship was thrown away because she was so petty.)

Just admit I'm right.
So I'm curious why a guy read that book? Not dissing the fact you did, just wonder why. I don't typically go past the first meet (online dating) without feeling some attraction, no. I know myself and I know if it's not there it's not going to be there. I also stated in my last post that it's not a crazy spark/chemistry that I'm looking for. Just general overall attraction. Both the mental and physical have to be there for me. It's not all one or the other.

That example from the book to me is ridiculous. I do not have unrealistic or crazy expectations. We are all human and we all have flaws and I'm not looking for a perfect person. I don't believe that the younger girls I know having the same issues with dating that I've had are looking for perfection or ridiculous standards either.

I can't admit that you're right, because you're not.

Last chick I dated was 29-30 and she constantly talked about “wasting time” and chit like that.

She was the typical story of riding the cock carousel and wanting to find a beta provider after getting worn out in her 20’s. She realized I had no intention of wifing her after she ****ed up more than a few times, along with admitting her subpar history to me.

At age 20 she dated a 40 year old chiropractor. He ended up dying from cancer sadly. She got a tattoo with his name on her arm and brought him up a few times during our relationship to compare me...lol, disgusting. She lost her $200k a year sugar daddy, it was downhill from there.

I relate to this post. FWIW I was married @ 30 and @ 40. Just found 30 to be mentally tougher because you can't even pretend you are kind of young anymore. At work you stop being a part of the in college/just out of college crowd.

Glad to hear it.

I've read that age 46 is when we are on average the least happy and that it get better in the late 50s. So past the worst maybe. If everything falls in to place I could be starting a new career around 50. By my late 50s I could happily be a grandma.

If a woman has been looking after herself in her 20s then hitting 30 should not be a big deal....while she's not in her prime looks wise anymore she should still be looking near that peak (again, only if she's looked after herself). The problem is, most women now a days spend their 20s partying, drinking, doing drugs, eating like chit and getting diked down by several guys. They are worn out as fuk and when they hit 30 they realise this and get depressed because they know it shows and come to the conclusion they wasted their 20s. Oh and lets not forget most will have had at least 1 kid and are now a single mother.
There is but one path....we kill them all.

Not saying that a first date is enough to determine other important things like compatibility and character etc but it's enough to determine physical attraction imo.
I totally agree with you on this. So many people have told me to give it more than one meet, but see what happens when I do? Nothing changed, except then we were a couple weeks and 3 dates in and I felt even worse telling him I wasn't interested.

I am a 36 single woman, soon be 37. I have always feel good about my age because I don't take my life for granted.

I know life is very fragile, and one can die from cancer or from car accident. So I am always happy when I celebrate my birthday knowing that I have lived one year longer.

When you live longer, you get to try more things. You can read more books and try more hobbies. In the book of Principles by Ray Dalio, the author said it takes 18 months for people to change a habit, and 7 years for someone to be expert in one area. So you see, everything takes time.

About looks, when you are 20th, people say wow, you look 10 years younger, well, that is more an insult.
But when you are 30th and 40th, people say wow, you look 10 years younger, that is a compliment. Sometimes I imagine what if I am 50 year old and I still look like 30th, what would that be like? What is more exciting than you race with time?

Have you heard Time = Money? If you are interested in investment, you will know if you invest at an earlier age, you will be rich much earlier because the rich formula has time factor in it. So in your 30th, you are likely be more financial stable than in your 20th. You can worry less about money, and put your focus on other things that is more interesting.

I have recently developed reading hobby thanks to the 52 books in 52 weeks thread. I love it so much that I am kicking myself for not starting earlier because it takes time to read a book. Do you know Thomas Jefferson donated more than 6000 books from his library? 6000 books! Assume one reads 100 books a year, that takes 60 years to finish.

Now you see why I think it is a great thing to be older, right?. Time grows wrinkles on me, but I trade it with life experience.
She should not feel insecure or bad, but be proud and grateful.

Just my 2 cents since you said you wanted to hear from female perspective =)

It only depends if they lost their attractiveness. Reason why most women try to get married in their 20's.

I dunno, Norwood is likely way worse. Women can look great into thier 50’s if they take great care of themselves. If you lose your hair, you just look old, no matter how great you take care of yourself.

Inb4 White Knights respond to her.

All you're doing is reading books from an obscure author. Granted I have obscure interests too but everyone probably thinks you're just the book version of a Cat Lady (the old female Librarian or something).

You probably have way more fun in your early 20s when Chad was pounding you and you went out in night clubs. In your 25-30 when rich Timothies were still willing to buy you dinners, vacations and cars. Life must be bad or boring now for you.

Strong cope. I can ask 1,000 people at the train station who Ray Dalio is and none would have a clue. Probably most would fail that pop quiz even in New York. He's not JK Rowling.

Lol at a tradie making $200K. Gross revenue of a self-employed tradesmen =/= net profit or spending money.

That tradie was probably making a strong $80,000 after he paid for licenses, tools, permits, supplies and other things. Then taxes. That old 20s woman is probably a Walmart worker or something.

I have an obsessive personality (when it comes to researching outlier thought and culture), and at the time I was looking into non-mainstream advice on dating. I wanted to see the female side.
I don't typically go past the first meet (online dating) without feeling some attraction, no. I know myself and I know if it's not there it's not going to be there.I also stated in my last post that it's not a crazy spark/chemistry that I'm looking for. Just general overall attraction. Both the mental and physical have to be there for me. It's not all one or the other.
I don't know you personally, so your intuition could be very accurate but that's a very common sentiment from unhappily unmarried women, according to the book.

The basic advise she gives is to be more traditional, meaning... Having the belief that connection can develop over time. The modern belief is that strong feelings (eg. strong attraction, the 'spark', 'chemistry', etc), needs to be established from the first meeting/date. The idea that it's 'inauthentic' if it develops over time.

Not directly related, but IMO a brilliant break down of how toxic movies and TV shows are for our dating culture...

I do not have unrealistic or crazy expectations. We are all human and we all have flaws and I'm not looking for a perfect person. I don't believe that the younger girls I know having the same issues with dating that I've had are looking for perfection or ridiculous standards either.
I don't know about you, because I don't know you but... Very pretty women in their 20s who can't find a decent guy? I'd bet money they are looking for Christian Grey and not just a decent guy. Very pretty women in their 20s have an abundance of men wanting to date them, and if they can't find a single decent guy from that abundance, whereas friends, family and coworkers are happily married or have started a family, then I would be skeptical that they have reasonable standards.
I can't admit that you're right, because you're not.
You're just being stubborn.

Attraction on first meeting is simply lust

Attraction can indeed grow over time where there was none. What? You’ve never seen Beauty and the Beast or read any traditional fairy tale romance?

Leggz I find it odd that any woman, least of all woman of your experience would consign people to the no relationship pile because of lack of instant attraction ...knowing full well that attraction can also be directly proportional to the amount of alcohol you’ve drunk or the situation or your hormonal or emotional state

Also Beta...not sure why you’re continually holding up Christian Grey as some kind of women’s ideal? He’s a really poorly written one dimensional character who didn’t even make for a decent Dominant ...he’s just a Mills & Boon rich man good looking crappy Mr Darcy character

I'm take your word on that, I've never read the books or seen the films. I just know that millions of women loved the books, and high status alpha males seem to be universally desired by women.

Don’t ..lol...I downloaded one on holiday once to see what the fuss was about and it was embarrassing to think an adult with that level of literary talent could make money from writing such crap
