I wish I had, I would have stopped sooner. Daily I would have 3-4 by around 10am, driving to the store “for lunch” and grab a 12-pack, finish it then get my dog from daycare, tab another 12-pack on the way home, have a couple more waiting for my girl to get done at work, go to BWW and drinks 7-8 more big beers, come home and have a few more leaving 4-5 so I could do it all over again the next day. I’d wake up with no issue and start my day.

25-30 beers? dayum dude great to hear you are on the right track now!

I developed a habit of drinking alone and playing video games, when I lived abroad and didn't know anyone. Came back with me to the U.S. and I have sworn to kick the habit for good in 2018. We're all gonna make it, there are so many other people out there fighting the same fight as you are.

Damn. That's an unsustainable long term lifestyle, glad you got out when you did.

1 day at a time boyos. Be mindful of any resentments you may have, as for me and and many others it is the number one offender.

This was after the marriage but appreciate the veiled jab...yes I’m an insecure guy that has a marriage fail because I wasn’t fully aware of who I married.

lmao I read ur OP and was thinking to myself "this pank stopped drinking to make some gainz..." But after reading ur 20+ beers/day estimate I'll add a few serious questions....

1) Did you drink anything but beer/water?
2) Did you work out at all on a day you had 20 beers?
3) Do you think your a genuine alcoholic who will need to mostly abstain for the rest of his life?
4) Do you work from home?

edit: Bonus Question
5) How much did you drink before your "problem", and how long have you continued at that pace since?
Are you not entertained?

We drank some together but we actually worked out a lot. Things went south when I started going to another gym to train powerlifting and allowed access of another guy to her...there was a thread about this so I won’t go further.

TBH if all you had to do was allow her access to another guy for her to cheat. LMAO be glad boyo you got out sooner rather than later.

Sad chit is it's a depressant which they never mention in their TV advertisements also shows people having a good time! You might be drunk for hours and sort of forget about your sorrows but once the drunkenness wears off the emotions are intensified, it is a vicious cycle.

I don't drink, and I find it very easy to not drink, but there are people who struggle mentally and resort to recreational drugs/drinking to cope, and can get to the point of killing themselves due to depression and alcoholism. When it gets this severe it isn't something that you can just "turn off".

I know people who suffered from these things and it's very hard to watch, he should be proud for having 3 clean months. People who are trying to stay clean also need strong support groups because it's very difficult doing it alone.

So many angry tiny men here.

I am a addict so I have more experience in this area then most of you including getting several siblings sober.
Been clean for a long time now I really could not tell you how long because that does not matter to me, I was weak to give in with drugs so I will not celebrate doing something I should of been doing my whole life. You got YOURSELF addicted to whatever so you need to get clean by YOURSELF relying on anyone else is just another weakness that can lead to relapse.
