If we end up crashing to 5k BTC (currently the proper valuation is based on wallets which puts it around 8k) than expect buyer exhaustion and low confidence in the market. This was the same case the past 3 years of being in a bull market start of year. We'll end up going from 5k to 20K slower but in a more healthy manner as confidence is regained. 40k by EOY im sure of it.

I don't know recognise chino3 as a username but I guess he read something somewhere - he's mistaken, though. If you're interested, my monthly takehome salary (after tax etc.) is 1950 USD (I'm a UKcel, though). This is about 30% lower than mean for my demographic (male, 30ish, university etc.), since I didn't have a job for many years in my 20s and don't really put much effort into a career.

To answer your question about the mortgages, chino3 - commonly in the UK you can get a buy-to-let mortgage with just a deposit, because the lending doesn't depend on your salary but on the rental income you'd be getting.

Take for example my last house purchase in September (now wishing I had put it into btc instead, of course) - the mortgage is ยฃ240pcm and the rental income is ยฃ1200. On this basis, they're happy to lend to me (I think the threshold for that loan was about ยฃ1050 - I had to make a case to them that it could bring in ยฃ1050pcm). My salary doesn't come into it, so long as I have a permanent, full-time job of some sort or another.

It's simple enough to do, even though house prices in the UK are ****ing astronomical.

The personal loan was a ยฃ10,000 overdraft on my current account, and applying for that was also quite easy, I didn't need to give any reasons for wanting it.


Rentals are a really solid, low-skill investment, tbh. I happen to know a lot of trades/DIY stuff so I could renovate them myself, but otherwise just buy some that are ready to go and you're sorted.

Yeah, hopefully prices stay low until friday morning when I can spend some of my onion airdrop for some more.

If it actually does drop it'll drop to like 7-8k m8 which was a more normal price before the insane runup to 19k. I doubt it goes lower than that. Even if it does that's BTC, doesn't mean alts are going to crash if they finally decouple from it. If we're following that chart return to normal was the 14-16k we had before this crash, don't know why you think this current point would be return to normal. Right now we're around fear/capitulation.
