Edit- my ideas about this are exactly why things like alimony and settlements exist.. I don't think the courts should be so sexist about these things though.. but we still live in a world where the majority of men are the breadwinners

Edit- and why should having kids matter? They don't make a marriage more real by existing.. your spouse is supposed to be your family just as much as children are.
Nope, I just don't see that logically standing in any argument. I'm sure they both saw it lasting forever in the beginning.

Sounds like a keeper and she sounds like the type that doesn't need a piece of paper to say you're exclusive and together. Yeah they will flip in an instant if they feel it will benefit them immediately but remember most only think short term to an extent and not the long term repercussions. They're wired for more of a living in the moment type of mind frame, not all but most.

.
If the house is that big there will be a maid, cook, gardener etc.

If it isn't no way is she going to spend more than an hour or two a day on those household tasks. Watching Friends while the washing machine is on for two hours isn't 2 hours work, although women seem to think it is

Which just shows how bullchit it is. There's plenty of ugly women on websites like Seeking Arrangement but other women don't call them Gold Diggers (technically they are).

Personally, for rich guys, don't get guilt-tripped or shamed into marrying an ugly / fat woman. There's so many billionaires and multimillionaires in the news getting divorced by Plain Jane and fat Housewives.

Maybe in the old days marrying an ugly woman was safe but thanks to Tinder / Social media a 3/10 thinks she's a 9.

So how are you suppose to keep a marriage going? People on here always say to marry a quality chick and you'll be fine but no one goes into marriage thinking they will get divorced.

How did our fathers, uncles, grandfathers, etc keep their women in line/happy? I swear growing up I barely knew anyone's parents that got divorced. Maybe 1 in 20 at most.

Now it sounds like a really common thing and that should scare us all.

Autism of peace.

My buddy (civil engineer) got divorced last October (finalized and done with), but he knew the divorce was coming for about a year or so.

He:

1.) Hid EVERYTHING of value, closed all his bank accounts, credit cards, and cashed out all investments then gifted everything to his mother and father.

2.) Gifted his house (was in his name and he owned it clean and clear) to his brother.

3.) His car, motor cycle and quad were gifted to his nephew lol SRS

By the time the divorce was filed, paper were delivered and things got real, he literally had the clothes on his back to his name and about $200 in his bank account. By the time the attorneys tried to rip into his life, the was nothing there lol. After the divorce was finalized and is wife got literally pennies on the dollar (it cost her more in legal fees to get the divorce)... his family gifted him all his things and he is living just fine with all his assets and life intact.

Moral of the Story: If a women cleans you out in a divorce, its because you didn't have a contingency in place with family members and your attorney for a worst possible scenario. If you have anything left in your name by the time those divorce paper are served and signed.... you deserve to lose all you chit SRS

Women are what they are in a divorce, you need to be smart and have a plan about this kind of chit SRS

I dont actually know, that's just my guess.

maybe women are awarded 50/50 most of the time because thats the agreement when you get married

This is suppose to be how it is, but often is not. I know of guys whos wife left them, she had a full time career and they shared responsibilities but he still got pegged with alimony.

yea, ive thought of a few chicks who made money that still got 50/50, which is why i followed that up with the last sentence.

i would hope that's the case, but maybe its up to the judge and if you get a ******* judge you're fuked

What a feel good story. Mirin that they couldn't figure out a way to screw him. Did he get raped on the gift tax though?

And just as an FYI prenups cover your assets you bring into marriage. But 50% of what you make during the marriage are going to the wife regardless whether you have a prenup or not.

Unless you do a pact suicide, die in the same airplane / car crash or die of a sudden heart attack 2 days after - you are DYING alone no matter what.

Just think about most people's Grandparents. One of them outlives the other by usually 1-2 decades.

This specific post reads like "red pill things that never happened", but I've seen **** like this first hand.

My aunt was married to a guy who had several million bucks tied up in agriculture - relatively little cash, butlotsof assets. Dude started giving her a bunch of papers to transfer ownership of the property to his parents, and told her that he was doing it to reduce their tax liability. She just rolled with it and signed them.

Dude decides to divorce her for a no-**** coke whore a year or two later and BAM, no marital assets, thanks to a mutual agreement to transfer that property. He ended up keeping almost everything.

That marriage was a ****ed up deal from the start though - the dude told her from the get go that he'd keep ****ing other girls while they were married, and she was willing to look the other way to live on dat millionaire time. Probably figured that she'd just spend his money for a while then cash out in the divorce, but he was planning ahead too and beat her to the punch.
