I’m a bit of a weirdo, and my challenge is finding other weirdos, and that in itself is hard because most people aren’t weirdos.

You have no faults outside of the physical?! None?

So you’re the best you can be career-wise, finance-wise, personality-wise, hobby-wise, etc?

I won’t deny looks play a big part, but if you’re not blessed in that area then develop yourself in other ways.

If you lost an arm there’s no sense continually lamenting that you have only one arm. Compensate for that chit, whatever way you can.

Short guys can get with girls, but they have to have a good face. I know some short guys who date 7/10 women but they are stocky and have facial aesthetics

@FA*******, not saying that you missed out on your dream girl but as a brah who has blown chances like that in the past trust me when I say things like that are few and far between. Especially since you don't seem to have the requisite skills necessary to get laid without it being handed on a silver platter. Got home at 4 last night, stayed up till 8AM trying to debug my code for research cause my ****ing simulations stopped running (and did I save backup code, of course not). Passed out on top of my laptop, woke up at 2PM, and immediately opened it back up and started working again. Gonna get this research stuff working and then prep for that exam in my graduate circuits class on Tuesday. Not bothering with the lab until the prof or TA gets back to me.

So my math professor just sent us an email saying class is cancelled on Tuesday, so the soonest I'll be seeing this girl again is on Thursday.

I'm gonna try talking to her again - won't be surprised at all if she just blows me off (****, that's basically what I did to her), but if she is responsive, I don't know where to take it from there. Not sure if I should just try the library thing myself, or invite her to do what I'm gonna do if I get blown off - bike across the street to the local BBQ restaurant for $5 sandwiches and $1 beers on their daily special. It's already been a long week, and Monday-Wednesday are going to going to be really bad too, so I just want to go and get ****ed up on brisket and Coors once it's all said and done.


Of course, if you have any better ideas yourself then let me know, cause I don't know what I'm doing.

I'm good enough in those other areas to do at least at an average level with women. You shoudlnt have to be perfect to get laid and date.

But my results have always been terrible, and the only reason for that is I am very very low on the looks scale

Depends how ugly and short you are bro...

If you look like you live under a bridge, then you're gonna have to acquire above average finances, power, personality and whatever else.

In fact... go through all your dating-relevant-attributes and assign them a rating of "below-average", "average" or "above average". Or perhaps -1, 0, or +1. I'll use myself as an example:

Looks: 0
Height: 0
Social status: -1
Finances: -1
Career: -1
Personality: +1

Total score: -2

If you have a total score that's negative, then you're gonna struggle with dating, and need to go about elevating yourself to an overall rating of average or IDEALLY above-average.

But don't take the above TOO seriously; I've just designed it to give you a rough idea of where you stand.

There's also the matter of what your standards are. My standards are actually quite high, and the level of attractiveness I want in a female, coupled with her being intelligent and having a nice personality, would probably put said female into a category that makes up less than 5 or 10 percent of the female population. I mention this because I could have probably had a far more successful dating/relationship history were I willing to drop my standards.

High GPA engineering student? I'd be surprised if she isn't responsive. I remember lots of young ladies locking down high potential earners in junior and senior year of college. They're looking for that breadwinner.

I get what you're saying, but it doesn't actually work that way. There's not some formula. It's more about odds, and when you're very low on the looks and height scale your odds of finding someone interested is very low.

Then the odds of me being interested in the rare woman interested in me is basically 0

You can also be good looking with poor social skills but have high standards, so no girls. It really is all about odds though. Some people are just lucky or in the right place at the right time.

You should def ask her to study with you. Do a little small talk (where your from, what's your major....) and if it goes well ask if she wants to go to that BBQ place. Don't over think this FA. I'm rooting for you!! Good Luck!

I gotta say. I'd rather walk around East Afghanistan with a 249 instead of working in a factory. Its repetitive as hell. Hopefully the IT Help Desk interview goes smoothly. The company also has programming positions as well. So that would be dope to get hired as a peasant password reseter and eventually start writing that there code.

We're both in engineering, so I doubt that plays as much of a factor. Which is absolutely fine by me - I'm not looking for a girl to leech money off me.

I have an example of a friend who met his wife in engineering school. She is stay at home mom now. She admitted she hates working. And she is smarter than him, had higher GPA, found job before graduating where he took a few months after graduation. when they married, she quit her job.

Wouldn't doubt it - I've heard a couple of girls talking about "maybe going into something besides engineering" (beta bux!) But on the whole, there are a lot easier ways to be a SAHM than doing fukkin engineering.

There is a sizable chunk of girls and guys here who are only in STEM because their parents forced them.
