I think the main issue is, if all guns are banned from people, how long until street guns are eventually gathered up so nobody can actually even find them illegally... That's the "dream" for some people right? Getting all the guns off the street which seems like a pipe dream.

wow , you cant be serious. i mean youd rather fix this based on abstract bases than concrete ones?

all the bs aside, youre telling me if employees were to carry firearms in that school it would have prevented the 14 deaths? trust me it wouldnt . killing one student would suffice to label this as a tragedy .

proper thing to do ban all guns for non military personal aka civilians and keep it with the police, military and ex - mil guys

The news media is silent on the epidemic of drunk illegals killing people on our roads. It's easily a couple of thousand US citizens a year dying this way. Many more than all of these mass shootings combined. And every one of those deaths could have been prevented by enforcing the laws we already have on the books. The same laws that Obama refused to enforce and the same laws Trump is trying to enforce, but which Clinton- and Obama-appointed judges are fighting tooth and nail to stop from being enforced.

Beyond mashing F5 and spamming the thread with your leading questions, have you actually tried reading?

You're focusing on guns, when this is an issue about a very sick kid and (in my opinion) a group of people that did not take his symptoms seriously enough. I don't have the full picture yet, but the reports I'm reading show that pretty much everyone around him had either formally or informally notified local authorities about Cruz's violent behaviour.

In short: you don't get to use the death of these people to try to make it a 'gun issue'. You and your ilk will fail. Instead, the intelligent question here is "why wasn't more done?" - and not from a hindsight lens, but a real inquiry to see why the threat wasn't taken more seriously given what is being reported about Cruz.

Sad and tragic.
I don't have anything to say that hasn't been already said, and I have no solutions to this horrific situation where it became a norm for degenerates to randomly massacre kids in school.

I would however make 1 amendment to the law. In horrific scenarios like this, the murderer should be executed ASAP and all of his organs will be harvested for donations.

Gun confiscation from citizens is what you're talking about. Guess what happens when only the government has guns? The government no longer fears the citizenry.

"A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined..." - George Washington, First Annual Address, to both House of Congress, January 8, 1790

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." - Thomas Jefferson, Virginia Constitution, Draft 1, 1776

"What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms." - Thomas Jefferson, letter to James Madison, December 20, 1787

“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

I honestly think the gun grabbers don't understand why we will fight tooth and nail against gun control. It's not because we think kids getting killed in schools by madmen is a fair tradeoff for us to be able to go and plink targets for fun at the gun range... it's because we don't trust any government who would advocate the confiscation of our guns, to at the same time guarantee our other liberties against infringement.

Your closed mind has nothing to do with the response of local authorities when presented with a case of a troubled individual who flaunted violent tendencies before this happened. People like you don't get something simple: what you want, and what reality is, are two different things. You should be more worried about the comment I left in your CP than your pathetic crusade here. Good luck with your search - I highly recommend you reconsider your pompous attitude and calling out people for being stupid etc. when you're clearly unable to see anything but your agenda within the context of dead civilians.

Seems like your children are becoming more and more endangered while the two sides just argue like *******s and manage to do nothing about it.

So you are basing your gun control rationale on mass shootings only? You just want to ignore that those other countries did not see a significant reduction in homicides and in fact the gun ban in the UK resulted in a sharp increase of homicides for the decade that followed it before falling down to about even to pre ban levels. The UK also has 2-3 times the violent crime per capita the US does even tho the US is significantly larger. You also want to ignore that our gang population is larger than many of those countries and accounts for around 80-90% of our gun violence.

You also want to ignore that several countries that ban guns also have higher crime rates than the middle east, mexico, brazil etc.

I guarantee you banning guns in the US will massively increase our crime and homicide rates as criminals will still get guns and law abiding citizens will be the only ones who comply with the ban

Also why do you ignore my post regarding how gun ownership has skyrocketted but gun violence has declined sig ificantly

https://www.allenwest.com/2016/01/18...r-gun-control/

THE ONLY SOLUTION TO STOPPING MASS SHOOTINGS IS LAW ABIDING CITIZENS ARMED AND TRAINED TO STOP EVIL

Its really not that hard

Good that you think you have it pretty good. What is fascinating is your perception that Australia is a true land of the free makes you think you're in a position to talk about what happens in the USA, with your immense expertise in the subject matter. Hint: sarcasm. And your comments are essentially a living meme that could have been pulled off Friendster over a decade ago. So, fuq outta here with your idiocy.

jesus what movie are you quoting lol " The government no longer fears the citizenry." cause the governement cant obliterate the "citizenry" cause they are all stacked up on their deadly AR 10's and ar15's

and all the quotes you posted date back to the 1700's when owning a weapon was a necessity vs the indians or the dalton and clanton gangs. this doesnt apply now

the real reason for the above "given you arent, werent ex-mil" that it makes up for their tiny 1 inch p3n0rs and make them feel like real men ...what youre calling for is the redneck revolt

LOL @ "quotes from the founding fathers don't apply now".

You also seem to have a really sketchy grasp of history.

The constitution was ratified in 1788. The Bill of Rights in 1791. That was only 227 years ago. That's not as long ago as you think.

I'd try to educate you, but there is too much you don't know about why the founding fathers wrote what they wrote. The 2nd amendment was not some last minute afterthought. It was pretty important and that's why it was #2.

A tragedy, I don't want to imagine the anguish the parents are feeling. I also don't want to imagine the liberal sh*tstorm on social media, also those reporters should be fuking fired. Asking if there was blood? Really? Idiots. At least there are some intelligent people in this thread thinking objectively.
