But unless you are an individual with significantly more time/experience on the shotgun than anything else, it's probably the least-good choice. If you are good with it, there isn't really anything that compares to some buckshot in terms of effectiveness on the threat

Looking at that list, even taking away the ones that might be deemed marginal and controversial, I'm satisfied there's been at least seven.
