Carbines (intermediate chamberings, 16" or so barrels), are shorter, lighter, lower recoil, better ergonomics, easier to handle than shotguns.

If you only have split seconds, you're doing it wrong. The armed homeowner/resident is the last line of defense. Exterior lighting, sight lanes (landscaping issue primarily), secured (and locked) doors and windows, a dog or dogs, a monitored alarm with sensors on all exterior doors/windows (possibly motion, glass break, etc to supplement), etc, should, in addition to making your home look like a not-as-soft target and likely be passed over, make breaking in take more time and effort, making more noise and alerting you sooner. If you think you're going to wake up and reach for the gun and shoot an intrude in a couple seconds, you're probably mistaken.

That's not to say a more accessible handgunanda more effective carbine (or shotgunif you're familiar and skilled with it) both available isn't better, there are some advantages to a pistol in some scenarios. But unless you are an individual with significantly more time/experience on the shotgun than anything else, it's probably the least-good choice. If you are good with it, there isn't really anything that compares to some buckshot in terms of effectiveness on the threat

There is a reason swat teams and door kickers only use shotguns for breaching and pistols as a secondary

Lmao at some of the cucks trying to deny this was terrorism.

Terror movies, he terrorized her, por*o that says she was terrorized by his d, etc..

Are all involved in ideologies I guess... (NOT)

Some of you cucks just can’t accept or believe that terrorizing is striking someone with terror, making people fear, etc..
he was part of a cult. His goal was to harm and scare people, he sure did.

Just keep pushing your anti-Islam agenda while trying to deflect wtf this ******* was apart of.. a terror show that terrorized the lives of many.

And no I’m not anti-guns. I just really think a lot of people shouldn’t have them when they’re crazy/retarded and that more good people need to carry and be ready.

Fuk gun free zones. But I mean, with gun free zones, criminals drop off their guns outside before entering and never harm anyone I guess..

Lol at the title change being so relevant. This discussion never ends because people refuse to budge on their stance. So what ends up happening is people argue for a couple pages and then they stop posting and then starts again with different people posting. Mirin Farley commitment though I dunno how he has the patience.

There are many reasons a cop retired early. By law you can not be given a retired ID if you resign not in good standing

Im also about to meet with a chief next week and be sworn in at another agency. But yeah forced out tho right?

You argue the same points with different people over and over and still keep your cool lol. I tried keeping up but once I fall a couple pages behind i lose any interest in reading paragraphs of nonsense.

Edit - lol at being so mad you make ban bets with people over NONSENSE. Hayzeus you’re arguing with a random miscer you’ll never ever meet and making ban bets about irl stuff. Wtf lol

However if you feel the need to protect yourself and family, by all means, i support that.

Lol @ needing an arsenal of assault rifles for your fictitious 3 attackers... how many trigger fingers do you have?

You are in complete denial if you think lunatics like hawkeye and others of his ilk do it for protection. If they do, that is a sign of delusions and paranoia. A bad mix with firearms and back to my point that HE shouldn't have access.
I dont find myself in those situations either, doesnt mean it wont happen, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. There are horrible instances all the time of innocent people in thier own home tied up, tortured and killed. Just because it is rare doesnt help if it happens to you, fires are rare too but you still have a smoke detector no? You call it paranoia, i call it peace of mind and refusing to ever be a helpless victim.

Looking at that list, even taking away the ones that might be deemed marginal and controversial, I'm satisfied there's been at least seven. So yeah, but nah - I'm happy with that perspective, given we are but seven weeks into the year.

I'm not even factoring in other mass shootings (at malls, family homes, concerts, etc) which are just as problematic, and could justifiably be added into the total "social cost" to the country.

Since 1998, 92% of mass shootings have happened in guns free zones. Why is that?

God, this is such a bad argument. So phucking dumb.

Do you really think this kid in Florida was brainstorming shooting locations based on which ones have guns and which ones don't? Give me a phucking break.

Not to mention, there were ARMED guards on the property!

The kid went there to kill people because he went to the school and knew it. That's it. He went there regardless of whether or not guns were there.

Phucking retard. Jesus Christ.
