So a mother's love is a child's need, so you're okay with two lesbian women adopting?

No matter how you view gay men, I think most would agree a child is better off raised by two men then the state.

It's better than nothing OP.

Assuming you aware of the idea that our development is 50/50 nature/nurture, though it makes more sense understanding it as 100% nature 100% nurture.. there is less to be worried about. The kids genetics are set in stone and they will be influenced heavily by their out of home experience. They will find a female role model outside their family. Ever hear how it takes a village to raise a kid? The bigger thing the kid has to comes to terms with is that they're adopted. You can give Steven Pinker's A Blank Slate a read. (spoilers: we are not a blank slate)


Again, im not completely sold by it either but it's still better than nothing.

This assumption that women automatically make better parents is hogwash. There are plenty of dumb moms out there who are the worst parents yet when they get divorced, the court automatically gives the kids to the women even though the father is a lot better parent.

I kind of agree on the point of the child getting dropped into circumstances beyond their control, but there's not enough heterosexual couples looking to adopt to go around.

2 gay parents is a much better alternative than being in the system.
