An attempt being failed doesn't negate the attempt...

How can you even play this card? OBAMA DID NOMINATE MERRICK. TRUMP DID NOMINATE GORSUCH.

The liberals almost took away your right to bare arms 4v5. You really going to let them review DC vs Heller with a 5v4?

SCOTUS shutting down gun bans is by far the strongest play gun rights people have. That path is through the POTUS.

Overturn Heller and every liberal bastion be it city, county, state, or town would be free to regulate civilian ownership of guns. That is game set match.

I'm around that weight and cut ~0.5lb/wk at just under 3000 cals/day
I also eat a very high protein/relatively low carb diet, so I'm not sure how that factors in.

MFP uses averages... If you have a quick or slow metabolism things will very.

However, if you are running a 1100 to 1300 cal a day deficit and you aren't on the verge of turning to cannibalism it tells me you are probably counting wrong.

High activity level? It has me at 2450 at 250 lbs, I just put lightly active. I do BJJ 3-4 times a week and not much else.

I put lightly active but I walk about ~3 miles a day here at the shop and ~1 hour at gym every morning which is split to about 30 minutes of lifting (push/pull/legs) and 30 minutes of cardio.

Who nominated a pro-gun swing vote and who nominated an anti-gun swing vote? Trump did that and Obama did that.

Also I do agree that Trump would probably fuk us all. Not immediately, but he is impulsive as fuk and doesn't think through the moves.

Doesn't change the game. You give liberals a 5v4 advantage in the SCOTUS and you are done. Not sure how that is debatable. Merrick's record was clear on how he felt and the liberal judges openly talked about their intention to review DC vs Heller.

This seems like me not giving a coach the win because he didn't score any baskets.

Those guidelines are all just a general averaged baseline. Your body will tell you what you need to maintain or lose a certain amount of weight per week. Once you figure that out on you own you can program the app to tailor to what you need to hit to work for you.

It won't tell you what to do, but it will help you keep track once you do know what you need to do.

If Trump does this, he will definitely have had a far greater (negative) impact on the 2A than Obama ever did. What's scary, if it actually goes through, is the precedent being set in the President being able to simply ban something unilaterally because he says so. At the same time, we can't kid ourselves that he wasn't by far the better choice, and the SC nomination was absolutely necessary. Even if he gets his bump fire stock ban through, if he gets to nominate another judge we might wind up ahead anyway.

Not seeing the "Far Greater" past EOs against guns have already been used. Precedence is already there.

Should be illegal, but it is there.

However, as lefties know EOs can be revoked with the stroke of a pen... Unless you can find a lib judge to "stop it" temporarily.

What is lasting is the SCOTUS picks. Those aren't things you get to undo.

Hopefully RBG leaves sooner, rather than later than. If the D's get control of the Senate in November, they're not approving a Trump nominated pro-gun justice. He will have to do the same thing with his nominee as he's doing now with guns...concede ground, which will lead to a far more middle of the road candidate than we got with Gorsuch. Almost anyone we get though would still be an improvement over RBG though. lol.
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

That is my thought... Long term it is important, but unlike previously this isn't the swing vote and virtually any pick with be better than RBG.

And while guns are the most important issue I actually prefer the moderate judges on some of the other issues. Your "side" isn't always right when it comes to the constitution. I prefer the Roberts of the world.

The big differences now are that you have an actual Republican president leading the charge on gun control and floating trial balloons (and threatening actual unilateral action). And any Republican politician will now get savaged for not only being against "doing something" but also "opposing commonsense measures that their own president came up with". That's unheard of when it comes to 2A rights.

Trump, I think, is probbaly trying to play the middle and trying to take an issue away from the left to some degree . . . but I don't think he has a clue that those people will never be satisfied and they will never support him. Meanwhile, he's throwing his base under a gigantic bus and they aren't going to forgive it.

Well we need to remember Trump isn't really a republican. Just an independent that ran under that platform.

You are right that the left will never be placated. However, using a device most gun owners view as completely idiotic isn't the worst play. Even the NRA is okay playing this card. (Not that I agree with everything they say, but they are the biggest gun rights representative.) DOING IT THROUGH EO is bad news though.

HOWEVER, when push comes to shove... The dems are going to trot out some anti-gun fanatic and Trump will once again look like a gun lovers dream in comparison.

Yeah, we literally fought against Obama for eight years to not do anything, and now a republican is going to do it in a quarter of that time. And not just do it, but literally be the tip of the spear for it. Pathetic. The age restriction will be one of the worst anti-gun bills we've seen yet. That is such a massive step back it makes me sick.

If Trump does this, he will lose my vote in 2020. He will have to do a HELL of a lot before then in order to get that vote back.

(I know my vote means fuk all anyway)

If he sets that precedent you may as well get rid of congress. Self generated authority to ban things? No thanks. Of course the left who have been screeming tyranny for over a year now won't care because its something they don't like.

At least you can vote in the primary. That's where it will count anyway. Because let's be honest, we'll most likely vote for just about anyone, including Trump, who runs with an R next to their name vs virtually anyone that will go up there with a D.

If Trump does nothing to earn back my vote should he lose it, I won't vote for him. I'd vote third party of write in. I'll always vote, though.

I'm not naive, I know that third party/write in has zero chance, just like I know my vote has zero chance of mattering while in CA, but I still take my right to vote very seriously and will always participate.

That's a no go for me... (Unless 21 is the new age of adult for EVERYTHING including selective service.)

Legal consistency is important to me. I can't say I like 18 year olds voting on chit they know nothing about.

I'm sure liberals would prefer to keep the legality consistent across the military too. BRB you can join the military at 18, but you don't get your gun until you are 21. Have fun in Afghanistan boys.

I'm not naive, I know that third party/write in has zero chance, just like I know my vote has zero chance of mattering while in CA, but I still take my right to vote very seriously and will always participate.

17 year old who will be of voting age by the time they run for reelection is up now

He lived a half an hour away from Sandy Hook

He tried to kill himself in November because he was scared. What are we going to do to protect him? He needs assault rifles to be banned so he can be safe where he his. He wants them to look at his scars and look at his face and tell him what they are going to do.

He found a new outlet than death, and it is to fight for what he believes in, so he can be safe.
