I've been getting so much overtime and money saved up I've been strongly considering it. Was waiting for the next gun show to come around.

Honestly if we all got AR's the guvment is never gunna be able to take our weapons away!

No way bud. The last AR I built was strictly from PSA (waited on Black Friday sales and such) but it was alittle over 440 bucks for a mil spec frankenAR

Gun show prices wont be anywhere close to that

Idk, maybe there, but not here. Last month, I bought a lower for 49.99 (including shipping), a Nitride Freedom rifle kit for 299.99, and paid 25.00 in FFL fees, so that's 375.00 or so for an AR-15. Just have to take the 25 mins to assemble it. For the quality, that's dirt cheap. They're pretty much sold out online right now, though LOL

I already have an AR (which must be defective because it hasn't killed anybody), but I might get another one. I almost have enough spare parts to build one, just missing the lower receiver. I don't really even want another one, but I might get one anyway just to say **** you to liberal anti-gunners.

Ill give you the important things to keep in mind.

1.There are two upper receiver tang heights, this is important if you want to have a flat surface to mount things too from the receiver to the gas block
2. Always have your barrel and bolt headspaced
3. For DPMS Pattern, AR15 gas tubes are compatible
4. 18" barrel is plenty for ~500yd shooting, you gain around 50-75fps per extra inch after that, not that much
5. You can use AR15 gas blocks as long as the diameter is correct
6. You can use AR15 muzzle brakes/flash hiders if thread is the same
7. You can use AR15 buffer tubes but you need the correct buffer and spring for .308
8. Forward Assist is not necessary on an AR10
9. Dont cheap out on glass

Those things took me the longest to figure out.

CA has already done such a good job of gaying up rifles that its not even worth it to buy any more here anyways. Hopefully the free states will still be free by the time I can move and set up shop somewhere where the constitution is still respected.
