Thanks, that's what I thought. Just ordered it. I've had a couple of ADM mounts and accessories and they were top quality. I won't even need to do much to this besides throw on an Aimpoint.

Figured I should go ahead and get one of these 'AR15' things before they get banned. I saw the CNN training video, very informative.

Hopefully you avoided the Fully semi automatic versions. I hear they are really dangerous and will go on killing sprees if you look at them. Best move is to close your eyes while you shoot.

It really is incredibly stupid behavior. I mean what do they think the positive outcome is going to be? Are they envisioning their statement being picked up by all of the major media and droves of liberals deciding to parade to their stores with open wallets in celebration? I understand most people have limited common sense, but you'd hope a CEO would be on the other end of the spectrum.

I'm nowhere near 100% - just vaguely think I saw one - but it could well have been somewhere else - there are a lot of signs here

but, I don't really pay attention bc the CCW I have negates them - all they can do is ask me to leave, which I would since I'm not a youtuber

edit
going along with the local law thing - a lot of businesses added these signs a few years ago when the open carry law was clarified - not changed - but clarified. IIRC a lot of LEO in the state were pretty against it and encouraged local businesses to put signs up if they felt "uncomfortable" with open carry in their place of business - even though open carry was legal before the change

Bread item delivery guy asked if I was LE or Military because I look like one.

Are we really becoming a nation of either fat slobs or long haired hippies where only being somewhat fat and having short hair = must be LE/mil? What is this world coming to?

Tim of Military Arms Channel has talked about it. He got a strike that YouTube claimed was from them and was corrected then the next day a new strike anyway

Hey guys, so i just want to confirm that if i go in to do a transfer, and i fill out the form with the address that's on my license ( which is my old address), i wont get flagged during a background check and denied my transfer? I recently bought a pistol from another FFL, and put my old address that's on my license, and they gave me the gun, but i'm thinking maybe they were being nice and let me go through with it anyway?

I did change my drivers license address already though, however i have to wait 2-5 weeks for it to come in the mail. I don't want to wait that long to get my AR15. If it's possible to go in use the old address on my current license, i'd rather just do that lol.

I don't know the fully, technically, legally correct answer to this one. From a 'intent of the law' perspective there's no reason for this to be a problem, but some people are all about 'intent' when it suits them (see bump stocks) and letter of the law despite intent when that is what suits them ("straw" purchase if you buy a gun for a person that could just as well buy it themselves).

Call the FFL, explain, and see what they say?

The 4473 does ask for "current state of residence and address". So, I'd want to put my current address there.

What makes this even worse is the Address you have on your DL might not even be the one in the DMV system

In Idaho residents are required to inform of the address change, but you have to pay extra money for a new DL. Will I get denied because my address doesn't match my address even though it really does?
If I ever am able to find my gun this is kind of a question I don't want to get screwed over.

Had to drive near the place where Billy Graham's funeral was, with Trump attending. I saw these bigass cargo planes that brought his motorcade and pulled in to take some pics. These things are yuuuuge. Damn near as big as the Antonov 225 I saw in the same spot last year. C-17 Globemasters I think?

found this other pic from Atlanta for scale

Is that what Walmart did? 21 for all guns and ammo? Did they do anything else? I still buy ammo there because some is still a good deal there...and their Fairlife is $1/bottle cheaper than the grocery stores (and I buy a lot of that ****). Walmart would hurt to drop...but

I don't understand how you (saw some others too) justify continuing to support Walmart but not REI. REI is dropping a company because they are associated with anmo. Stupid, definitely, but nowhere even close to what Walmart did. They removed "scary" rifles and are refusing to allow a certain group of Americans to exercise their right. This is 100x worse.

I'm not saying you can't pick and choose your battles. But knocking REI so heavily while justifying Walmart is just wrong. I wish I could boycott each anti-gun company, but it's not practical. I'll do what I can when I can't. REI is not one of them, unfortunately. Mountaineering gear is very specific and it would be virtually impossible financially for me to climb without their return policy and availability. I can limit my purchases to specific gear, but I can't completely get rid of them. This isn't a hill for me to die on. Maybe Walmart isn't your hill, but to justify Walmart as being "the most pro-gun" store like some of you are is stupid.

So Brownells cucked me pretty hard.

Was waiting for my tax return to get in for my purchase of that Aero OEM 16. I got the return to do it put in my order and the order "processes confirmation and everything on the web page"

My credit card gets pinged with the "test" charge.

Then the order disappears... Their support can't see the order. Now the OEM is sold out.

Can only guess is someone clicked confirm before me. Now every configuration I want is sold out or expensive. Feels bad mane.

"REI is dropping a company because they are associated with ammo", your words.

Walmart sells ammo, and guns.

That's a pretty stark difference, dontcha think?

Walmart does still sell guns...I don't see REI selling any guns.

As to justifying Walmart, I said I don't know, it's tough/complicated. Because, well, Walmart is selling guns and ammo, and REI is so scared of them they won't buy from a company that is associated with companies that makes them I mean lol wow.

I do think it is an overall benefit for Walmart to continue carrying ammo and shooting supplies like cleaning kits, targets, eye pro, ear pro, etc. And it's probably an overall benefit for Walmart to continue carrying firearms. It's not like an 18-20 year old can buy a gun or ammo from REI lol. But, Walmart did turn it into a publicity stunt to take a stance more restrictive than law...

Members can always call and cancel

U.S. and Canada:
1-800-426-4840

It's a free lifetime membership. They track your purchases and you accrue an annual dividend proportional to your spending there. They also do a member sale once a year with 20% off one full priced regular item and one full priced garage/clearance type item.

Cancelling the membership is a tangible step demonstrating the sincerity behind "I'm not shopping there any more"

How so? It was me that justified it as the most pro-gun store...

So I have a few basic consumer goods I actually need to buy at a "box store". My options are Target, Shopko, and Walmart.

Target doesn't sell guns or Ammo at all has strong anti gun biases.
Shopko doesn't sell guns or Ammo at all has strong anti gun biases.
Walmart has a lame ass policy - but often has cheap ammo and does carry guns. Lots of hunting, shooting, and other items.

So if I need to pick A, B, or C... Why would supporting C for those needs not be the most beneficial choice?

On the other hand... For sports stores.

I have Cabelas - Not a kunt, but expensive. - Pro-gun
I have Sportsman Warehouse - Expensive and in Washington state - Pro gun
Dicks - Expensive, Anti gun.
Local Store - Cheaper + Progun

Under this option I can say DICKS is by far the worst option to support my interest. For box stores Walmart is the "Best" choice even if they are kunts.

Then why do you not support Dicks? Don't they still sell guns and ammo?

You blew up about Trump's anti-gun proposals (rightfully so), but now you justify supporting a company because they adopted exactly what trump said?

Who cares if they will sell X guns. They removed ARs and don't sell to legal citizens anymore. REI doesn't sell guns in the first place.

We are blessed with Academy Sports. Not as expensive as Cabelas or Bass Pro, pro gun, carry handguns, will hand out brochures for georgiacarry.org or Appleseed if you leave them there, even carry modern sporting rifles

https://www.academy.com/shop/browse/...ting-rifles--1

I should really go buy some stuff there this weekend

Which, between REI and Walmart, does clearly make Walmart superior. They carry and sell guns and ammo, REI won't even associate with a company that also owns a firearms company lol

Doesn't make Walmart different from Dick's, but does make them different from REI.

Do you have Walmarts press release about "modern sporting rifles" handy?

Because Dicks is the worst choice of the "sporting good stores"... Except REI of course.

bought something from REI today crew

Life would legit be changed if I boycotted REI crew. Mostly, I'd be naked.

Monday: REI shirt, socks bought at REI. Went climbing with shoes, harness, and hardware from REI
Tuesday: REI shirt, sandals from REI
Wednesday: shirt from REI, pants from REI, socks from REI, went climbing with gear from REI
Thursday: REI shirt, REI socks
Today: REI shirt, socks from REI, jacket from REI

Everyday I use a water bottle I got at REI lol

Farley and Austanian, so you guys are unable to boycott them. That's fine. It's not your hill to die on. But to justify what they are actually doing is wrong. They are doing exactly what Trump proposed and what Dicks does. They are no better. My issue isn't that you simply cannot not shop there, as I explained with my continued use of REI, but that you're acting like it's not bad. Yes, it is. But the burden on you if you don't shop there is worse. My two cents.
