So nobody here saw the Niger ambush video?
Pretty disturbing and sad.

The original IS video is pretty fuked. Watching the video and seeing them slowly realize how fuk'd they were and what they must have been thinking... feels. They put up a hell of a fight. Doesn't matter how badass you are, if you are outnumbered like that and flat, open terrain, that's it.

Pretty fukin sad. At the end you see the taliban cocksuckers come into the screen and pump the dead soldier's body with a few more rounds, then you see blood cover his camera. Gruesome and made me sick to my stomach knowing those were our soldiers out there.TBH, if that area was carpet bombed immediately after, I would give 0 fuks.

For sure hard to watch though. But one of those things more people should see so they know the cost of war.

But oh well, as I understood it, American soldiers were killed in a country that isn't USA? Gruesome, but they do the same chit and worse to other countries and it's their problem invading a country that isn't theirs, again. They have no place being there and of course their opponents will retaliate, what else are they supposed to do. I thought some civilians were massacred at first which would be much harder to swallow

What fukin business do the US have in Niger?
As usual it's the poor guys on the front-line following orders that pay the ultimate price. Desperately sad.

If those guys didn't want to be there, they wouldn't have spent years training and becoming Green Berets. Put up a hell of a fight all things considered.

So ~50 v 3 odds when they have crew service weapons and you just have some measly 5.56 and still lasting a long time and killing ~20 guys isn't putting up a hell of a fight?

Can anyone confirm that running in a zig-zag manner is less effective than a straight dash when fleeing gun fire? (srs)

If anyone is interested you can watch "Chain of Command" episode 8. Follows the Special Forces group in Niger in the months prior to the ambush. Explains why American Special Forces units are there on the ground. Shows the human side to the soldiers on the ground. Shows how messed up that entire region is.
