This would exclude chest to bar, which is a fuller ROM, and it would also exclude locking out lats. I just look to lock out arms, not necessarily lats. Some people might do half or 3/4 reps to work on weak points, but those won't count in any real competition. There's no real benefit to not doing the full range of motion for pullups, right? Except for getting better rep numbers I imagine.
By that I mean not fully contracting the lats. Looking at the videos it looks like there's a lot of ROM left.
Again, curious as to why?

Lots of factors that could adjust that answer, such as weight and height, as well as whether pull ups are weighted or not. With that said, and this is likely my own personal definition of pull ups, but regarding traditional bodyweight pull ups with proper form, and going till you peel off the bar, below is my internal categorizing. Anyone else want to comment on what their categorizing is?
10+ = pretty good, clearly some level of dedication has been taken
20+ = good, you're probably one of or perhaps the best at your local gym, and you've hit the top of the food chain for US Marine Corps and Navy Seal standards (to my knowledge)
25 - 30+ = really good, you're pretty much a bad ass, and you might win some local competitions, or pursue other high level activities that benefit from pull up strength, like Ninja Warrior.
35+ = extremely good. You likely win most, if not all, of the in person pull ups competitions you stumble upon. You are very committed to pull ups, and likely have been committed for a very long time.
40+ = great. You are elite with pull ups. Congrats, you probably win not only in person pull up comps, but online ones as well. You are also very committed to pull ups, and are doing pull ups at a level that is rarely attained.
But all of these should be weight adjusted. Someone who weighs 200 lbs that does 35 pull ups is stronger on a weight adjusted basis than someone 115 lbs doing 40 pull ups, though both are of course impressive.

I did a session last week, getting real close now. 30s away.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Thoughts on 5/3/1 for weighted pull ups?
I keep getting stuck around the same numbers.
I think I need to start implementing %s somehow

question on the pushups, might just be the baggy trousers but almost looks like your knees are touching ground at the bottom of the reps?
