Went from eating eating 5-7kg of meat weekly and heavy amounts of dairy to whole foods plant diet overnight and felt completely normal. Never encountered any problems you mentioned. Did you eat a considerable amount of processed ****?

I look the exact same as when I was eating meat. I hit the same exact micros and macros. Nothing has went down on me. I didn't lose even a pound going vegan.
No, they're just aware of 60 billion animals every year dying to feed people that is completely unnecessary at this point, environmentally damaging, and help contribute to higher rates of cancer and heart disease.

And your statement that atherosclerosis takes decades to occur is wrong. Most 10 year olds on a modern diet already have fatty streaks in their arteries (early atherosclerosis).

How are you going to claim that atherosclerosis isn't a big deal when it's now become the #1 killer of people in the western world?

Do you have a dog? A cat? Would you care if they died? If so, why is it difficult for you to imagine why people care about the torture and slaughter of 50+ billion animals a year? It's an absolutely horrific and cruel practice on a planetary scale, that Is making people fat, sick, and contributing to the destruction of the planet.

Gtfo here with that diet before you turn into a soyboy. I'd rather **** my organs up and be dead than to never drink a beer or eat a kebab again.

"Dietary cholesterol statistically significantly increased both serum total cholesterol"
So this study acknowledges that dietary cholesterol increased serum cholesterol. Are we now going into lipid hypothesis denialism? Are you siding with their conclusion that high blood cholesterol does not cause atherosclerosis?
because, well... uh...
https://academic.oup.com/eurheartj/a...2/2459/3745109
Separate meta-analyses of over 200 prospective cohort studies, Mendelian randomization studies, and randomized trials including more than 2 million participants with over 20 million person-years of follow-up and over 150 000 cardiovascular events demonstrate a remarkably consistent dose-dependent log-linear association between the absolute magnitude of exposure of the vasculature to LDL-C and the risk of ASCVD; and this effect appears to increase with increasing duration of exposure to LDL-C.
>meta analysis of 200 studies (a variety of different types of studies)
>2 million participants
>20 million person years of follow up
>linear association between the amount of LDL-C in the blood and cardiovascular event
in summary:
>your meta analysis says that elevated blood lipids doesn't cause heart disease
>your meta analysis acknowledges that dietary cholesterol raises serum cholesterol
>my meta analysis which is more recent (2017) and much larger (200 studies, 2 million people), shows a linear association between serum LDL-C and heart disease
Also, there's this -
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9006469
395 dietary experiments (median duration 1 month) among 129 groups of individuals.
"Isocaloric replacement of saturated fats by complex carbohydrates for 10% of dietary calories resulted in blood total cholesterol falling by 0.52 (SE 0.03) mmol/l and low density lipoprotein cholesterol falling by 0.36 (0.05) mmol/l. Isocaloric replacement of complex carbohydrates by polyunsaturated fats for 5% of dietary calories resulted in total cholesterol falling by a further 0.13 (0.02) mmol/l and low density lipoprotein cholesterol falling by 0.11 (0.02) mmol/l. Similar replacement of carbohydrates by monounsaturated fats produced no significant effect on total or low density lipoprotein cholesterol. Avoiding 200 mg/day dietary cholesterol further decreased blood total cholesterol by 0.13 (0.02) mmol/l and low density lipoprotein cholesterol by 0.10 (0.02) mmol/"
>395 separate experiments
>concludes replacing saturated fat with complex carbs reduces serum cholesterol

In many countries dogs are just another animal to eat. There is no logical reason to not eat a dog and eat a chicken or cow.

Veganism is a lifestyle that seeks to reduce animal suffering as much as is feasibly possible. Are you appealing to futility here? Are you saying that because 1.5 billion small animals still die from crop production that it's all pointless and why try to reduce the number of animals killed? Are you trying to say 50+ billion cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, etc is equivalent to 1.5+ billion ground squirrels? What exactly is the point of your numbers here?

he was saying(from my assumption) given the VERY conservative 5 animals/acre are dying from crop production as an unnecessary by product. 1.5 billion livestock animals is probably about what veganism in its entirety saves from abuse and if we were to increase farmland for crop production it would mean the cost of more "innocent" lives than if we were to focuc on livestock. either way with you people its always something

I wonder if vegans ever considered that the relationship humans have with farm animals is symbiotic. Both species have propagated because of it.
I also question the logic that it is acceptable to eat plants because they don't feel pain. Does that mean an animal with congenital analgesia (inability to feel pain) is acceptable to eat?

Opposed to trying to fix the problems in their own lifestyle they'd rather tell others how to live their lives. I'd be worried about the fact that a group that accounts for less than 5% of the population is responsible for nearly 10% as many animal death's as their non-vegan counterparts. Vegans are responsible for a far greater ratio of animal death
